As a person who's dealt with depression for the past 40 years I would say that once you have a depressive episode you're more likely to have another!. Depending on what type of depression you have you could be dealing with chronic depression on and off for life!. I have been dealing with it since I was nine years old!. Some times it's years between episodes and some times it's only months!. I've been able to go as many as ten years between episodes and some times only a matter of months!. Some times the episodes last years and some time only months!. So a lot depends on what type of depression you have to deal with!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well for me, YES!.
I have used up all the serotonin in my brain, and it is NOT a renewable resource!.
That means I must stay on a mild anti depressant with serotonin in it to replace what I don't have any more!.
I take Celexa, I think that is how it is spelled!.
Only 10mgs daily, and I have been on that dose for 5 years and I am fine!. I see a Dr every 6 months for about 20 minutes to make sure the dose is O!.K!. and then I take it just like High Blood pressure pills, or Cholesterol pills or diabetes medicine!.
My chemical balance is not right by itself, this medicine fixes it!.
If I come off, after about a month I am so sad, the weight of the world is on my shoulders, no one loves me, I am so alone!.
NONE of that is true, but that is what my brain lacking cerratonin sees!
Talk to a nurse, Dr!. school councilor!. Some one other than us here who don't know you! PLEASE!!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

For me, it never really went away!. I managed to push it further and further into the background over time as I'm sure everyone can, but when I find myself in a really depressing situation, it can come back in full force!. I guess it's just something I will have to live with!.!.!.It's not so bad though once you develop coping mechanismsWww@Answer-Health@Com

No, go to your doctor!. He will fix you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
