Question: I need some advice please! It's about an ex w/ an addiction!.!.!?
My b/f left vy unexpectedly 5 weeks ago, I had an argument w/ a "friend" of his and made the mistake of making him choose!.!. It got vy ugly between myself and these people (they were party friends) We have lived 2gether 2!.5 years, had a deep bond but have had a lot of hardship the past year!. His mother died of Cancer in February, he developed a bad addiction to pain pills and we both spent a ton of money while caring for his mom!. It was just us and I gave up a lot to help w/ her, I feel we are both still grieving!. After our argument, it was like he turned into a diff person, he abandoned me financially (our rent, etc is high!.!.I can't do it alone), left pets, personal items and never came back!. I have been so sad!.!. Two days ago we had about 45 minutes together after a pre arranged court date we both had to attend!.!.he broke down, said he ruined his life and immediately checked into rehab!. What should I do!? I have lost so much yet I know the circumstances were out of my control!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
He went ( AS DID YOU!! ) through ALOT!! I can feel that you are hurting, and I KNOW pain!. It is NOT easy to deal with, and when people say "I know how you feel"!.!.!.MANY PEOPLE DON'T know THAT kind of pain!. But I DO!! And, seeing as how he said he was hurting, and by him going into rehab, he has admitted he has a problem (I DO TOO!!), let him have the chance to get a "clean period" under his belt, and see if you two can't work it out!. You've went through ALOT together!. ALOT of BAD!.!.!.maybe you will ALSO have alot of good to go through, as well!. Don't make ANY decisions about you two, until he is out of rehab!. As far as the financial--I have been, and still am there!. Money is tough!. See if you can get some help, (family/church)!?!? But make sure YOU have help, too, because BOTH of you are in the situation!.!.!.make sure BOTH of you are getting help!. Best to you!!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Encourage him to stick through rehab and help him find support groups!. However, I think there is too much baggage in that relationship to try and make a go at it again!. Let him know that you still care about him and will be a should to cry on but that is as far as it can go!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

SUPPORT HIM AS A FRIEND THROUGH REHAB
IF HE CAN CHANGE FOR THE BETTER, THEN WORK ON THE RESTWww@Answer-Health@Com
