Question: I have (GAD) General Anxiety Disorder!?
I have this complusive side to have everything perfect in my room!. In my mind, I know things aren't perfect and neither am I!. I guess that's why I have a "Fear Of Failing" or Atychiphobia!. Anyways, everything in my room is organzied; From my socks to underwear, to clothes, to everything else; If it doesn't look right than I move it or fix it!. I spend about 20 mintues making sure everything is perfect and looks good in my room!. I know this isn't normal, but I'm a natural neat freak!. I stayed in my own apartment for about 3 months and everything in that apartment was clean, neat, and looked good!. My roommate had nothing to worry about, but her own room!. What can I do to stop this!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

you're going to therapist !? your problem is being solved already

A psychological method of treatment for GAD is cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), which involves a therapist working with the patient to understand how thoughts and feelings influence behavior!.

Pharmaceutical treatments for GAD include selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs),

you were on Zoloft !?

Zoloft is to treat depression, certain types of social anxiety conditions, posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), panic disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD) in adults over age 18!.

You have nothing to worry about since you're already getting help !.

Take care !.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You do not have a GAD, you have the symptoms of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder)!. If you have been diagnosed, you should consider seeing a different therapist, as this should have been obvious!. If not, see a therapist for counseling and a psychiatrist for medication!. These should help you regain control of your life!. Good luck! :)Www@Answer-Health@Com
