Question: Which one would have a harder time finding an idenity!?
Scenario 1!.
A biracial girl, mixed with black and white is living with her mom and dad, OR a biracial girl, mixerd with black and white, and just living with her mom!. She goes to a school which contains an equal amount of both black and white people, a majority of black students, or a majority of white students, yet she doesn't know where she belongs at!. She knows that America will consider her to be black, yet sometimes she feels she doesn't look, "black enough"!.
Scenario 2
A girl who is black is adopted by a white family!. She lives in a prodominately white school and there is only a small group of Black people there!. She to relate more towards the white people, yet she wants to hang out with more black people and not feel different!. Both white people and black people consider her to "act white"!. She already has an identity!. It is her!.
She only has to realize that she is a unique individual with abilities, opportunities and challenges!. No matter who she is some people will find a reason to reject her!. At least she knows that none of the dumb blond jokes are about her!.
One can emphasize all the bad the happens to them, or they can work on the positives to make their lives better!. They can enjoy the company of others, or be miserable and alone because "some of them do not like me"!. Those who reject her, based only on her blackness or whiteness, are probably missing the chance to have a wonderful friend!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
