How am i supposed to enjoy life when even my friends make me feel bad about myse!


Question: How am i supposed to enjoy life when even my friends make me feel bad about myself!?
i hate myself!. i hate everything about myself!. i'm fat, ugly, i have acne, i have crooked teeth, i have a huge ugly nose, a huge chin that really sticks out, i have really greasy skin and hair all the time and i see myself as a horrible person!.
i've been going out to town with my friends more often, and made new friends, to try and lessen my depression, and it has helped a bit!. but i can't even enjoy that fully as i'm constantly comparing myself to my friends!. they're all so much skinnier than me, they all have really clear skin, and nice smiles!. i refuse to be in photos because i ruin every one!. and when i go home, not only do i get depressed because that's the highlight of the week over, but as soon as i see my reflection in the bus window, i sink down into that black hole!.
what can i do!? i just can't accept myself!. i feel that i can't enjoy anything!.

I know everyone says it and its so cliche but im sure your appearance isnt what you percieve it to be!.
Im sure ALL of your friends are unhappy about all the things you wish you had like them!.!.!.Im sure they compare themselves to everyone else!.!.!.
I think it comes from you!.!.!.its not about anyone else accepting you!.!.!.you need to accept yourself!.!.!.
I havent seen you so i cant sit and say no you dont have acne etc however i no for a fact your a lovely person!.!.!.your answers on here are always thoughtful and kind!.!.!.take the positives from yourself and use these to overcome the negative!.
So what if you have crooked teeth, acne, greasy hair etc thats you!.!.!.and he said thats such a bad thing!.!.!.i know your probably thinking oh shut up of course it is!.!.!.who says!? just because you arent a silly size 6 and starve yourself then that doesnt make you a bad person!.!.!.
I understand its easier to say, im writing this and wondering why i dont listen to my own advice however time will flatten the creases and youll realise you have wasted so much time worrying about all the bad things and have missed out on so much good!. I bet there is a hundred things you havent realised you can do, because your focusing on the bad!. I understand its hard when your down!.!.!.you do just see the bad, you put yourself down but we are our own worst critic!.
Keep going out with your friends, if its helping to make you feel better then keep it up!. If you get home and feel down because its now over!.!.!.just look forward to the next time!. Plan what your going to buy etc!. and as for looking in the window!.!.!.instead of looking at yourself in the reflection!.!.!.look at the other people on the bus!.!.!.watch their facial expressions!.!.!.its such an amusing thiung to do to watch people when they dont realise your watching!.!.!.
Accept yourself for who you are and make the most of everything hun!.!.!.
Re-read your question and answer it the way you would if it were someone else!.!.!.and thats your answer!.!.!.its all there it just takes time and a whole lot of effort to find it!.!.!.effort is something you are probably lacking due to the depression but its there!.!.!.believe me!.!.!.

well none of us are perfect and I bet you are nowhere near as bad as you are making out! You need to accept the things you cannot change and change the things you can, I dont know what age you are but if you are a teen this will pass, try and get some products for your hair and skin go to the hairdressers and get a nice layered cut and or some colour through it, wear make up to cover blemishes and bring out your eyes etc and try to lose weight, remember looks arent everything!Www@Answer-Health@Com

i know its easier said then done, but you must try to think more positive and get out of this vicious circle your in, i get depressed out of my skull about my appearance but somewhere along the lines i had to say to my self enough is enough, you should do this to, don't make the nights in the town your only highlight of the week, try going to the gym, catching a movie, read a book, anything you can think off to take your mind of your depressionWww@Answer-Health@Com

I hope you know we are our worst critic!. I know you cannot be as bad as you feel about yourself!. You have friends, they accept you the way you are!. Start looking at the positive things about you! You seem to be extremely concerned with the external!. First, stop comparing yourself to others!. You are a "unique" individual! Second, it sounds like you are being very hard on yourself!. Nobody's perfect!. Even models, beauty queens, movie stars, all have a beauty support team and make-up artists/stylists working magic on them!. The internal, inner person is what really counts - looks fade over time anyway!. Personality is where it's at! Just cause someone looks "good" doesn't make them a good, kind, loving person or a good friend for that matter!~

Try taking your focus off yourself by doing something kind and nice for someone else in need!. I've read - "There is More Happiness in Giving then there is in Receiving!"

well if u REALLY wanna change then!.!.!. get braces (everyone has them now) and buy some cream to put on your acme!.!.!. it really helps, also if you are so concerned about your weight then you can go on a diet!. (DON'T starve your self) just limit the calories you eat, and get lots of exercise, all of this should take you about a month (except for the braces) but braces are nothing! everyone has them!. You can also ask your dentist if you can have invisalighn!.!.!. thats what im wearing right now!!

Here is how you put this all into perspective: Scientist have created several products to help or cure all of the physical "imperfections" you've mentioned above!. They have YET to do the same for the personality and spirit of a person just the same!. And herein lies a subliminal message: MOST THINGS ON THE SURFACE, (NO MATTER WHAT THE POPULAR VOTE OF SOCIETY IS) DON'T MATTER MUCH ANYWAY!. If it can be changed so easily!.!.!.it was probably WAY too shallow to begin with!.

This is a lesson for you, I think!. As far as finding REAL friends, I think that this will ultimately help you attract more "beautiful" people instead of simply "attractive" ones!. It will help you understand the definition of friendship, and that your current group of "friends" do not deserve to be categorized in your life as such!.

Try not to defer to other people's ideal of what it means to be beautiful!. And here is another TRUE cliche': Beauty is relative, no matter what Vogue or Cosmo tries to express through their advertisements!. If you feel the need to change anything physical, do it for YOURSELF and not for the approval of these "so-called" friends of yours who don't seem to really care about you or your feelings at all!.

Here's some homework: Grab a huge sheet of paper, a thick marker with your favorite color ink and draw in big, bold letters: I AM A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN WHO DESERVES TO BE SURROUNDED BY BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE!. Get some tape and post it up on your wall!. Take a look at it before you step outside your door in the morning and again before you go to sleep at night!. "Beautiful" people are like moths to a flame!. Remember that within you there is the power to be both the MOTH and the FLAME!.

Well you are in a pickle aint ya chick and everyone is giving you medical advice and things that can help with acne and teeth etc!.
Firstly can I introduce myself, I am a size 18-20 lass, I am in my 20's and I have the worse set of teeth ever lol

Firstly hunny, and I know this sounds a little bit silly but you got to learn to love yourself!. I went through a good few years after leaving school of being so depressed and down about the way I looked and my size and I felt like I couldn't handle it at all, during school was even worse because kids can be soooo cruel and they where to me all the time!.

But back to the loving yourself, find something your good at and be the best you can be at it, I took up art and I drew to stay alive and then I started sculpting and that KEPT me alive, it was always a talking point with anyone and was something people could like about me and that I learnt to love about myself!. Next be positive about things, cliche glass half full not half empty, it's true, if you feel like poo smile and think of something positive, find a song you LOVE something up beat, I love Goo Goo Dolls Iris but it's too depressive and love sick so if I feel down I pop on Sweet Home Alabama and grab my hair brush!.
Oh and by the way none if this really costs money either :-)
So, so far you will have found something you love doing whether it be art, playing an instrument etc and you will have found a dong to cheer you up!.!.!.!. next FIND A FILM I love films and I have my fave film to cheer me up, well 2 films one os a horror Aliens and the other is Love Actually coz it makes me feel all mushy lol so if I am feeling down I dance around the room to sweet home alabama and then I pop on a love actually BONUS!
NOW comes the appearance!.!.!.!.!.!.everyone can look good, EVERYONE!.!.!. All it takes is practice, my mate is a size 24 she looks AMAZING in a corset and long skirt and its her trend, she looks so good and because she does she has amazing confidence, shove in her a pair of trousers and a jumper and she's like a deer in a head light so find the trend that makes YOU comfortable and makeup can work wonders, remember blusher (not loads) builds your cheekbones and can help any face look sharp as it where, I have a large nose and a double chin so I wear blusher from boots, it's about
