In the beginning I used to get shakey but I've been on Prozac AKA Fluoxetine for about 13 years now!. I take mine in the morning as well and I try to take it everyday!. It is a wonderful drug and I feel it's saved my life!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Fluoxetine has quite a long half life, so it is unusual - but not unheard of - for people who miss a day's dose to notice the onset of withdrawal!. So that IS a possibility!.

Another possibility is that you are experiencing side-effects; the appearance of new side-effects after long-term use is nothing unusual!.

The 'shakes' are well-connected with SSRI antidepressant use, and should ideally be reported swiftly to your doctor!.

Give yourself a once-over for other side-effects just to make sure you aren't having a cluster appearing: sensory changes (eyesight, hearing, taste), digestive issues, sleep pattern disruption, increasing fatigue/apathy, sweating, muscle/joint pain, sore jaws/yawning/other tics/twitches, desire to pace about/move, sexual dysfunction, appetite changes, increased agitation/anxiety, weight gain!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I was on Fluoxetine for quite a while, I had the shakes in the morning, but as I think with you, it's probably not the medication but your depression!
Later I had a bad episode with the depression and was put on 60m each morning of Cymbalta AKA Duloxetine and things are much better now!.
Ask you doctor about changing your medication!.
Hope you settle down soon!

Hi,

I was on them for about 9 months, i didn't have this side effect if i missed a dose but that's not to say that you don't, as meds effect everyone differently!.

best wishesWww@Answer-Health@Com

Fluoxetine made me feel worse!. I would reccomend going cold turkey but asking your GP to put you forward for CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) because that helps with people who arent feeling themselves!. You'll soon realize the tablets will make you worse though!. Believe me!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have a friend whose on it, when she misses it she says she has quite a lot of energy near the end of the day, even if she is feeling down!.
