I just read an article about kids and imaginary friends!. A lot of kids have them some play with them and they mostly grew over it around the age of 8!.
You shouldn't be worried, she is just very creative and made someone up to explore the world with!. Lot of kids who are scared of something and have an imaginary friend go for example dog hunting when they are scared of them because their friend will protect them!. Firstborns often have imaginary friends, and also very bright kids!. It's one way children learn to make distinctions between good and bad!. Spilling stuff and blaming the friend for it and so on!. Try not to make a big deal about it when she mentions her buddy!. So don't contradict her or whatever, or try and talk to her friend or pretend to meet him!. There's no reason to make her feel funny about talking to someone who doesn't exist, but if you show to much interest and visit her friend into your world, then you'll likely have her pal hanging around for a long time!. In the meantime, let her enjoy the company of her friend; she'll soon grow out of this common childhood phase!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

dont be too worried!. encourage her to make other friends, but if she's invented a perfect friend in this duck person she has a right to imagine!. only be worried if she gets withdrawn or overly quiet, or if duck still exists when she is about 8 or nine!. think it a blessing that she has such a wonderful imagination when so many kids imaginations are being destroyed by computers and tv's!.xxWww@Answer-Health@Com

Wow, that to me is awesome! I believe it could possibly mean "make believe friends", but if she says it's a ghost boy then believe her!. My little cousin about 6 said she had a ghost friend that lived in my aunts house and it turned out the house was haunted!. Go figure!. I say maybe theres a cute ghost boy that lives in the park!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i think it's fine!. alot of kids have imaginary friends!. my little sister used to see a lady with a baby!. lol!. they soon grow out of it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just tell her to calm down there's no such things as ghost's then give her some chocolate or ice-cream then she'll forget about it hopefully!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
