The State Hospital?!
Question: The State Hospital!?
I'm pretty sure the next time I'm hospitalized (which won't be soon because I'm fighting so hard with the voices and they are slowly winning) because I've visited (a short stay about a week) the hospital 3 month in a row and I've been threated with the state hospital!.
Well anyway my question, for those who have been, what' is it like!? Is it like in the voices or is it better or worse!. I know that the likely hood of having someone from Kansas telling what the state hospital is like is slim!.!.!.but I'm going to guess that most - if not all - state hospitals are the same!.!.!.long term!.

You are correct, the state hospital system in Kansas was done away with in the 1990's!. The only operational state hospital is at Larned and is for the criminally insane!.
The state now contracts with private facilities to provide inpatient treatment!. These facilities are quite nice!.

i personally haven't been to a state hospital but i've heard from friends who have that their stay depended on the severity of their condition and what type of treatment is necessary!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
