What's wrong with ppl who talk to themselves?!

Question: What's wrong with ppl who talk to themselves!?
I have a friend who talks to herself out loud all the time, when she's driving, walking and oh my gosh when she's home alone she holds full conversations with herself!. It's mainly about unresolved issues like if she gets into an agrument with someone and doesn't feel that she spoke her mind then it's on from there she keeps reinacting the agrument as if the person is there but she only says her part!. What is wrong with her and what kind of treatment does she need!? She's a really nice person until you make her mad then she's a talking fool in the mirror, shower where ever why can't she just sing like other ppl do!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I find this part really interesting:

"Sometimes she wants to say something so bad if she's driving she pretends to be on the phone so she doesn't look crazy!."

It tells me two things!. One, she might have some form of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder if she's having compulsions to talk and can't help it!. Secondly, if she's worried about "looking crazy" then there's no way she's actually crazy!. If it really bothers her, she could see a therapist or do some internet research on forums where other people have the same problem!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

EDIT: Well, she could be hiding her sickness!. If it really bothers you that much, you could talk to someone who knows her well!. Or even her!. Treatment isn't always necessary for people who work out their issues in this way!. Some people just hold conversations with themselves either because they're lonely, or because that's their way of reenacting an event to deal with it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

its abnormal!. she needs to see psychatrists!.

its a hazard in work place, around peopleWww@Answer-Health@Com

She would need to have a full psychological evaluation in order to find out what (if anything) is actually "wrong" with her!.

Some people simply talk to themselves a lot!. But what you're describing DOES sound more like a symptom of some sort of disorder!.

Most psychological orders/mental illnesses are treatable!. Often the symptoms will resolve once the underlying cause is addressed!. Even if they don't disappear entirely, medication and therapy can manage them remarkably well, but ONLY if the proper diagnosis is made!.

The difficult thing is that people who do suffer from mental illness are often completely unaware that something is wrong, or they KNOW something is wrong and DENY it or refuse to get help!.

You might want to express your concerns to her son !.!.!. possibly he can persuade her to get a medical checkup and hopefully a referral to a psychologist!. Nothing can be done to help her until she either goes or is dragged to her doctor!. The process always starts with a thorough medical checkup to rule out any physical cause for psychological symptoms!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
