Temper- a sign of early disorder?!

Question: Temper- a sign of early disorder!?
I have a 5 month old boy who is throwing tantrums like I have never seen!. It started at 4 months and has progressively gotten worse over the past few weeks!. He is a normal happy baby usually but when he gets angry (frustrated with a toy etc!.!.!.) he, of course, screams but sometimes he will actually go rigid all over and if he doesn't calm down immediately he gets to a point where he shakes and then vomits!.
I have 2 other children, neither of which reacted so violently and I know every baby is different but this is beyond what I have ever seen in my or anyone else's babies, especially so young!.
I am worried that if he is showing this extreme level of anger and frustration already it could be an early warning sign of a bigger problem!. Does anyone know of any specific disorder I can ask the Dr about that could cause this type of behavior this early!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are better off going in to the doctor with a description and the video, not the names of illnesses!. Watch his behavior, log when and what triggers him, how long it lasts, how he is after!. A lot of doctors don't appreciate Internet diagnosing partly because they then need to figure out how much of the description is actual versus rewrittedn into a box of the named diagnosis!. Once a diagnosis is made and confirmed, any decent doc will want you to learn all your can, but that comes later!. If you have issues with your peds opinion, try a psychiatrist specializing in developmental disorders!. Not saying he has one, but that is the type of doc that evaluates developmental disorders and would also know what medical tests should be run if any!. I'm neither saying he has a real problem nor am I an expert!. I just have a little knowledge about info to take to a doc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would use my phone or a video camera and take a vid of how the child acts and show to the pediatrician!. Ask about these events - It doesn't sound quite right I agree!. but the doc may just say you have a child with a temper problem already !. You may spend the next few years teaching him how to handle frustration!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I would not go to a physician with this matter, as there is probably nothing physically wrong with him!.

You should, however, see a therapist!. Meet with him first by yourself, ask questions, and use your judgement to see if he knows what the hell he is talking about!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

please bring the issue up with your baby doctor!.i don't mean to scare you but are you a stay at home mom!? or do you have a sitter for your baby!? sometimes reactions like that from a child so small could mean several things!.have there been any changes around your baby recently!?people or changes in the time spent with him!.i wish you and your baby the best of luck!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have no idea if this could be an early sign of something significant or just a behavior you baby has adopted to deal with a particular set of circumstances!.

My own belief, and I am not an expert, is that it is worth a visit to your specialist and keep asking until you are happy with the answers!.

We learn coping mechanisms at a very, very early age which can come back to haunt us in later life!. So its best to resolve it now!.

The only think that I know of that I found worked in this kinda situation was a cuddle !.!. probably against all the best advice of just leave them and let them cry!!

The only illness that children get that might have anger symptoms in childhood is attention deficit syndrome, but again I have no idea if there is a connection!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I believe this question would best be answered by your baby's doctor!. I would however, ask what is within normal range!.!.!.What is not, why does your baby vomit, what causes the rigidity!.!.!.etc!. My 2 month old some times when crying, gets rigid like a board and then I place her in the famous "football hold" and she goes limp!.
If you want to try something yourself, next time he has a fit, hold him over your forearm, with his stomach over it!. This has worked 100% of the time my daughter is crying!.

But!.!.!.Get to your doctor and ask him follow up questions!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
