Well, you don't have to!. You could just tell them you feel depressed and would like to go to counseling!. Also, if you are in school you can talk with your school counselor about getting outside help!. He/she can set you up with an appointment on the outside or they often have someone come in for chats!. As you progress you may decide to tell your parents!. Or, just tell your parents!. It isn't anything to be ashamed of!. You have a medical condition that should be dealt with properly!. If you've stopped, I fail to see whyd you tell them!. I remember the first time someone told me they were emo!. they asked "Can you keep a secret!?" Then quickly rolled up there sleeve, long enough for me to see the cuts!. Then rolled it down!. Thats a pretty good way, since it avoids the emotion of says "I hurt myself because my life is bad!."Www@Answer-Health@Com
Your parents love you!. Don't be afraid of them!. Be to the point and honest!. It's just like ripping off a bandaid!. Do it quickly!. Forget what other's say - Tell them!Www@Answer-Health@Com
