Question: Have to stop effexor cold turkey, very scared!?
I have been on 175 mg of XR and due to health insurance can no longer afford meds!. It has only been a few hours since I missed my dose and am already feeling it!. What will happen to me!? If I take some of my boyfriends prozac will it help!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

omg, omg, i am on effexor, and i have never been able to quit cold turkey!.
they say that trying to come off it, you can take prozac for a week, and that will help, but this is a very addictive drug,andis goin to be very hard for you hun!.
do you have any pills left!?!? can you just buy some for now to come off slowly, it really does take a long time,
the feelings that you will have now,
dizziness, fatigue, major nausea, vomiting, when you turn your head, it will feel like a big weight in it, everything will look funny,
its going to be hard, i would just stay in bed for acouple weeks literally!.
you are really not supposed to go off this stuff!. try and get into your dr and see waht they say!.
this is just personal experience, i have been off of it once, and it took me 5 months, and my reaction was horrible, and that was 5 months of cutting down!.!.!.
they say prozac helps, but you really shoudnt take other ppls meds!.!.!. lol

I had horrible withdrawal effects when stopping effexor like someone had a switch and was rebooting my brain at random, horrible sensitivity to light and noises!.I wasn't sure if I was going to make it through it!. If you can, please try to not go off it cold turkey it is dangerous maybe you could go to an emergency room to get something to help with the withdrawal!.

I was on effexor and I decided to stop cold turkey because I wasn't well and I wasn't thinking straight and it was horrible!. I started getting worst a few hours after I missed my dose!. I was having hallucinations, I was having the shakes, and it was bad!. And my doctor and I spoke and I finally went back on them and thank god, because I needed them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
i took effexor for years and tried to get off of it and i thought i was dying trying to get off of it!. this is dangerous to quit cold turkey!. the only way i could get off of it was to take prozac with it!. if u cant afford it u should call ur dr!. and maybe they can give u samples or switch u to something cheaper!. call ur dr!. tomorrow morning!. i read an artical in my local newspaper last year and people have actually became addicted to this meds, but like i said prozac helped me get off of it!. do not stop turkey!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
prozac and effexor are 2 diff class of anti- depressant i dont sugest taking your bf meds ask your dr to give you samples of effexor thats what they did 4 meWww@Answer-Health@Com
