The problem is with any drugs it is trial and error until you find the right one, there are so many!. The only way the doctor can help your wife is to keep trying different ones until he finds the right one!. Slow release tablets give you a small amount of the drug over a set period of time, where the regular dose is the full amount all at once and can be too much for you!. The doctor is trying the slow release to see if it stops the side effects, so he can leave her on it, that is if it is helping, he will know if the lithium is wise or not!. Hope you find the right drug as soon as possible, it must be worrying for you, but don't hesitate to get back in touch with the doctor if any of the drugs seem to give her unwanted side effects, or don't seem to help, he wont know unless you tell him!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
