I am still in the process of recovering from a severe ankle fracture where I was hospitalised for 3 weeks and had 9 months off work to recover!.

The whole process was incredibly slow and found that I got incredibly frustrated at not being able to do things and not being able to walk which was compounded by being on statutory sick pay so I can fully appreciate what you must be going through!.

I just want to tell you to hang in there as there is a light at the end of the tunnel, its just that at the moment you can't see it!. Everyday try and do one thing that you couldn't do the day before and start pushing yourself to do little things!.

For me it was getting out of bed unaided, then getting into my wheelchair unaided and being able to take myself to a different room, then as I progressed I started pushing my barriers further and now, even though I still suffer badly with my ankle, I am back at work, walking unaided (albeit with a bad limp and lots of pain) and generally proving my surgeons wrong on a daily basis!.

Hang on in there, speak to your doctor to see if they can help you any further!. Maybe even speak to a counsellor to see if that helps!.

Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
