Is it possible to stay on Ativan?!
Question: Is it possible to stay on Ativan!?
depression!.!.!. they gave me ativan the other day, but said I can only have it for 2 days!. Then they gave me Celexa, this stuff sucks!.
How can I get back on Ativan, do they do that!? Or is it simply to addictive to prescribe for longWww@Answer-Health@Com

One night!.!.my best friend took me to the emergency room because I was just feeling depressed and my anxiety level was through the roof!.!.and the doctor gave me ativan and like a couple minutes later!.!.!.i was asleep!.!.and during my hospital stay, they even gave me some during the day to help with the anxiety and i needed a whole bunch at night, because i could not sleep and it helped, it knocked me out!. But the doctor did say that it is addictive!.!.and than I was prescribed seroquel and effexor!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Yes, Ativan is way to addictive to stay on for too long!. You also build up a tolerance to it, meaning you are going to need more of it in the future to have the same affect!. Sudden withdrawal from long term use of Ativan or any other benzo is dangerous!
Also, long term use will cause you to act strange and forget lots of things!. (that was to explain it easily)
Ativan is used for anxiety!. It may help with depression cause it gets you a little high but you are better off finding the right anti-depressant for you!. You may have to try 3 or 4 different drugs in order to feel better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

ativan is addictive,it is prescribed for anxiety,but can also be used if a person is highly combative and uncooperative and out of control!.special presciptions are used to get this type of med!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Ativan is to treat anxiety, not depression!. If you go to the doc asking specifically for ativan he/she may see thru you!. It is an addictive drugWww@Answer-Health@Com
