I would suggest counseling, hoping he is taking meds, for depression!.!.!.(if he is having suicidal thoughts take him to the Emergency)!.!.best thing to do,is take him out of the house!.!.!.Being in there is not helping him,he needs to get out, take him for a long walk,he needs fresh air, rent some really funny movies, that you know will help him laugh, get out of the house,to do an activity, like golf, gardening is another great activity,to ease his mind!.!.!.he needs to do two things which are!.!.!.

1) Talk about what is truly bothering him!.!.!.!.!.

*Most of the times they close them self's out and begin to think that no one truly cares about them,be there for him

I know how he feels!. Is there anything that you can find to get him interested!? Does he have any male friends that get him out and have some fun!? To do guy stuff!?

Maybe exercise with him and make sure he is eating healthy!. More than likely SSRIs will not work with his brain injury!. Have you tried it already!?

You cuold always find a job for him to do at home!. People feel useless if they arent working and used to working!. What about going to school!? With a disability its free!. Even a walmart greater would be something for him to do instead of sitting around staring at the walls!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi Grammy,
A brain injury is a hard one to deal with My Friend!. Let him know you love him and your at his side if he needs anything!. Try to make him happy and see if you can't just get him to go on a walk with you!. It would do a world of good if he can do this on his own and what's to do it again!.
Sweetie I truly hope your husband gets better in the near future for the both of you!. Just do your best Dear that's all you can really do!.
Your Friend,

He needs psychiatric help and possibly there is some other medication to take!. They do not all work the same and some will help better that others, you just have to keep trying different ones!.
Sometimes people just think they cannot go on!. Watch him!. You may need to take him to the hospital emergency room if he tries anything suicidal call an ambulance!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You don't say if he has had psychiatric/medical invention yet!. Get him to a doctor who will be able to get him a referral to a mental health clinic for observation!.!.Goodluck x

Edit - Isn't there anywhere he can get inpatient respite care for a while, just to give you both a break!. If you live in the UK, try contacting Vitalise or similar organisation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Oh, that is a real trial for you, and your partner!. Nothing upsets me more in life than seeing people hurt, in every way!. Your spouse requires some specialist input and the right kind of humane tenderness!. Perhaps you could encourage him to firstly attend your family doctor, and have a good chat about the best possible course of treatment, and i'm not just meaning medication here!. Maybe he might benefit from a proper period of convalescence, with not just medically trained staff, but an Art, and or Occupational therapist to give his confidence a boost and, you need a break too with all the worry and concern for his well being!. An unfortunate, traumatic life event can often lead to a bout of major depression, coupled with acute anxiety!. This may be the case with your predicament!. In patient psychiactric care has improved these days, sometimes it can really stabilise and treat the symptoms effectively if your partner agrees to this!. There are a lot of services available in your locality too, if this would be disruptive!. He needs a good amount of understanding and comfort to recover from this incident!. Relaxing gentle activities, in the right way, with both of your feelings considered at all times!. But, make an appointment with your GP to assess his functioning and reach a good decision!. I feel for you, i've had similar problems myself, and i watched someone i love dearly go to pieces, and require quite a number of admissions!. I hope you both get the kind of help and support you need!. Keep the faith-it's the last thing you can lose!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
