How can I explain my anxiety/obsessions and mood swings to a stranger ?!

Question: How can I explain my anxiety/obsessions and mood swings to a stranger !?
Hi there, I'll try to keep this short!.

Been struggling with anxiety, agoraphobia, panic attacks for some time now and have only recently been given some anxiety medication!.

Also, I have severe mood swings which my psychologist thinks could be bipolar disorder but does not want to begin treating yet as he's starting with anti-anxiety medication!.

I'm 16, and still in school!. Am being chucked out of home by my mother!. I applied to the housing association who are going to put me on a waiting list!.!.!.however, I will have to stay in 'One Stop' (which is where a family you don't know takes you in for evening meal, gives you a bed then drops you in town) so I'd only have an overnight bag and have to wander town all day!

Due to my anxiety, I have certain routines I have to follow!. I can only eat certain foods, can't eat at other people's houses, can only sleep if I put a particular DVD on at night, must wear certain clothes on certain days, fear of germs and many more things!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
you need to tell your psychologist everything - they need to know the whole picture to enable them to treat you appropriately (I've heard that CBT cognative behaviour therapy can work well in addressing these types of anxieties - you could ask about it)!.

your psychologist should then write a proper referral letter to the local COUNCIL housing department who have a duty to help you and should provide you with the most appropriate accomodation - it sounds like one stop would not be suitable and this should be included in the letter!. In fact it sounds like you should be getting help from social services because of your health needs!. Check the link!. Good luckWww@Answer-Health@Com

- here's my advice -
- fine tune what you have written about yourself!. think about what know about yourself, and then mentally prepare a speech abhout yourself!. i find, in certain circumstances, mentally rehearsing what you need or want to say is a great way to overcome the anxiety of the moment!. also, try
imagining yourself in certain situations, and do a little mental " play acting "!.
- most people you will deal with will be tolerant about your situation!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

If you have any idea where you might be going for the "one stop" then you should try to get a phone number to call them and inform them!.

If not, I'm sure they would be more than understanding of your situation!. You're probably not the only one like this!.
Anyways!.!.why would they volunteer to be one if they aren't really really nice!?

I really feel for you and hope things get better!.
I've been in the same situation as you apart from being chucked out the house!.
but if you go to see a counsellor!? that really really helped me and im still going there!.
try and talk to someone to help yourself!. but maybe to explain your anxiety etc to a stranger just sit them down and have a long chat with them so they understand and i'm sure they'll be really willing to listen and help!.

take care and good luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
