Question: What do I do when I want help; but no one will help me!.!.!.!?
I'm a 20 year old female college student, when I was 4 I was sexually abused (for 2 years by a female cousin), when I was 15 I was sexually assaulted, and at 18 I witnessed a terrifying shooting at my school!. I've been cutting since 13, attempted suicide 4x, and have a hard time feeling anything but lonely and sad!. I know a psychiatrist is the best answer, a teacher of mine referred me to the head of the psychiatry clinic, and they told me that they don't have a program for people with situations like mine, and that was it!.!.!. No more follow-up nothing, just plain old "Have a good day"!. I still see a counselor at school; but my teacher believes I might need more, and I kinda agree!. I want help; but help seems to have turned its back on me!.!.!. What do I do now!? I want to get better; I want to be able to move past there horrific events, and this addiction to cutting; but I cannot do that on my own, and seeing this counsellor for a year hasn't really helped!.!.!. I would go to a therapist for sure!. I would ask your family doctor for a referral to a good therapist that is either male or female (which ever you are more comfortable with) and go!. Being sexually abused and witnessing terrifying events is very taxing on a person's mental health and I think it's great that your are aware you need help and want to get better!.

THis is terrible!. Keep talking to people and looking for someone who really can help you!. If you want help that is the first step into getting better!. If you want you could even just talk to me!. Just don't give up, the light is out there!. Good luck :]Www@Answer-Health@Com
Keep searching, you want to help yourself and that is a huge step! Many women, myself included as well as most of the women in my family, including my daughter{the cops let the fkr off the hook!!!!} have been assaulted!. Keep searching, beat down doors, and soon help will come!. There is a section in the front of the phone book that is concerning community outreach programs, access the local charitys such as Goodwill and ST Vincent De Paul and churches as well!. In the mean time keep seeing that school counselor, and if you have anyone to talk to keep talking, maybe find a support group for women that have survived sexual assault or childhood abuse!. I am here for you little sister and even though you don't know me I am a great listener and understand!.!.!.!.!.!.I think the world is an extra cruel place for women and we all need a safe place, a safe friend and a comforting listener!.
