Actually boredom is only a symptom, a reaction to what's going on!.
l had a psych professor who taught that you feel bored when whatever you must do is too hard!. l've learned he is correct!.
For instance, you have a class you really like, you can get into the subject, you enjoy the assignments!. Then you have a class you hate!. You don't know the stuff, don't want to know it, just wanna get out of there!. You're bored!. But only in the class where it's too hard for you to learn, for whatever reason, not in the one where you are learning!.
Emotionally and mentally healthy people are never bored because they have so many interests they can always find an agreeable way to pass the time!. They feel enthusiasm!.
Those who are not find everything too complicated, too difficult, not worth bothering with!.!.!. in short, too hard to do!.
So they have nothing to engage them and find themselves bored most of the time!. Down!. Depressed!.
Or being led by others who provide them with something to do they would not do by themselves!.
People "dieing of boredom" need to find something to do, but they can't!.!.!. so if this persists long enough they need professional help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

no, but bordom can lead to other things, such as depression, binge eating, or anorexia!.!.!. No one has died from bordom, but people have died from things that can be triggered by long and intence bordom!.!.!.
