Question: Please help! any ideas for relief from stress!?
i need help!. im a new mom, and i cant stop being so stressed out, im offically always yelling at my boyfriend, who has done nothing but been there for me 24/7 for the last two years, now we have a child together and all i do is yell at him, he works and i stay at home and take care of the house right now, i'd like to go to school but who knows what will end up happening with that, i have actually thought about going to talk to the doctors where you sit and talk until they find a solution im always so edgy i cant even take a joke anymore, i used to smoke and i've been trying not to for the baby (ps i didnt smoke while i was pregnant) but i dont know how to handle any of this anymore!.!.PLEASE HELPWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well smoking isnt going to solve any problems because the problems are still there!. It sounds like you are unhappy and feel trapped!. You should really be more active in finding a way to go to school!. You have a child so now you could get grants more easily to go to school for free and probably free child care from the state!. (its a benefit paid for by tax dollars so please use it)!.

If you had outside interests going on you would be less likely to be so angry!.

Until you get things going with a job or school why dont you try eating healthy and working out!. Stay away from high anxiety foods like junk food, fast food , energy drinks and sugars!. All of them cause fluctuation in your blood sugars and you will feel more on edge!.

Also make sure you have enough iron , folic acid and b 12!. If your body is tired then you will be on edge from that because your not sleeping well and your body is just tired!.

If you fall into a situation that you are verbally abusive with the one you love it can get really old fast for both parties!. It becomes a habit and then it becomes part of your life!. Yelling is just ugly and no one wants to listen to it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

it sounds to me as though you are suffereing from postnatal depression!. I would go and see your doctor and have a chat with him!. He will perscribe you some med that will calm you down and you will have alot more patience with everyone and you will start feeling better in yourself!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

take 2 deep easy breaths and let them out slowly, then do something you like while being with your kid(s) for example with me i get calm playing computer games!. when you feel you are guna shout at your boyfriend walk into another room take a few deep easy breaths and maybe even a quick drink!. explain that you will do this to him so he doesnt get worried!.

ps: you and your boyfriend should masturbate etc as much as possible because it is a BIG stress reliever and be proud your BF stands with u:)

You need more support! Since the baby you may have had less sleep, and more to worry about, and you've been giving more energy to the baby, and been forgetting about your own needs (which is common)!.

Maybe get help from more family members and friends, and tell your boyfriend that you are finding things difficult and you don't mean to snap at him!. Tell him that you really appreciate his help up to now, and that he's a very special guy, but at the moment you need a little more support and tell him that you are trying your best to do the right thing!.

My Mum was really really stressed when she had me, and my Dad went to work!. She managed to get through it with more support from others!. Maybe make friends with other mums with new born babies!? Is there a group nearby who meet up for a coffee etc!? It can help meeting with people in the same position!.
