You know how parents worry about their children all the time?!

Question: You know how parents worry about their children all the time!?
Well I worry about my parents like that!. I've been this way since I was little, I'd have dreams about something bad happening to my parents, mostly my dad!.!.and for as long as I can remember I've just been worried about them!. I always say "be careful" at the end of a conversation with them when they're going out or when I'm on the phone with them!.!.My dad is a Lead Auditor and he goes out of town all the time and I just worry so much that I feel worn out!.!.oh and another thing, if something bad happens to someone, like on the news or something, I'll always think "what if that happens to my dad or mom!?" then I'll start to get a really scary image, followed with more worrying, and then I'll start to cry!. Mind you I'm 18!. Once this got so bad that I kept breaking down all day because I was paranoid and afraid that someone was going to harm my parents!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's great that you seem to have a good relationship with your parents! As hard as it seems though, they don't WANT you to worry about them like that! They managed to survive in the world before you were born and then protect and nurture you when you were a child!. I would hate to think that my children were worrying about me like that!. It is possible that you have a problem with anxiety and it might help to talk to your doctor or a counselor!. I really wish you luck because you need to trust that your parents can take care of themselves!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you probably just love them a lot, and are afraid of losing them!. have u ever talked to them about your constant worries!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

((HUGS)) I think it's normal to worry about your parents!. I remember being a young teen crying in my bed because it finally dawned on me my parents would die some day!. I'm 31 and my mother and I are very close, and it still pops in my head that one day I won't have my mom anymore and it's scary!.

I think especially when you are on the verge of becoming an adult and going out on your own things like losing your parents can be scary!.

I have learned to avoid the news because of all the sensationalism of horrible things that happen to people!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
