Abilify Side Effects?!
Question: Abilify Side Effects!?
Since I started taking half of a 15mg pill of Abilify each day(3 days ago), I noticed that I get a little restless and my hands get shaky!. Plus, I still hear voices just a little!. Can I expect this to go away over time, or do I need a different dosage!?
It's annoying but much better than the side effects I had to other medications!. Also, will the side effects get worse with a higher dosage!? Thanks!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You have to give it time to get into your blood stream before you start feeling the benefits!. It may take up to 2 weeks to notice a difference, and up to 6 weeks to get the full benefit!.
Today is my 5th day on Abilify but my doctor had to take me off it because of muscle weakness, joint pain, and restlessness!. Apparently it's a serious side effect!. You should definitely call your doctor and let him/her know about the side effects even if they are minor!.
I think the voices will go away over time!. Abilify is supposed to be a really good antipsychotic; the only problem is it has a lot of side effects so many people cannot continue taking it!.
I was really excited about trying it and I'm pretty disappointed that I have to discontinue taking it!.

I feel you!. I was so excited about Abilify, I haven't had luck with most anti-psychotics and my pdoc told me it was 'the newest and the best on the market!.' I lasted 4 days on it before I had to quit!. I had horrendous side effects! Shakiness, migraine's, nausea, double vision, plus I still had my psychotic symptoms!.
I can't tell you if it gets better with time, I refuse to try it again, the side effects were THAT bad but, I'd call your pdoc and see if he wants to mess around with your dosage or try something else!.
For the record, Seroquel rocks if you take it at a high dosage!. Low dosages knock me on my butt but a high dosage takes care of voices/paranoia and I can still function!. Go figure!.!.!.lolWww@Answer-Health@Com
