Question: I feel extremely stressed, tired, no energy to eat, even when I feel hungry!?
I'm not sure where it's coming from, but sometimes I really question my ability to "make it"!. I'm an 18 year old girl going on to 19 this summer and today I came back from class today really tired and my mom lashed out on me and said some really harsh things to me!. At first I kept repeating in my mind that she was being irrational but she kept egging me on and it caused me to snap and really start to spew out stuff, which made me very tired!. I don't like to argue!. And then I came home and felt really bad and sad and cried a lot instead of studying (like I wanted to do), eating, and taking a shower!. So I just went for a run now and watched some TV in the downstairs common area (I live in an apt), and I came back and I feel so like!.!.!.exhausted to just live anymore!. I'm hungry but I drink a cup of milk to suffice me, I don't eat!. Too tired to take a shower today!. Have a long program tomorrow and lots of studying!. Feel like I'm never going to make it through the end of my education!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You mom sounds like a *****!.!.!.!.like my mom use to be!. But your mom is so wrong to say nasty things to you about your mental health!. I agree with you on that so much!. I have bipolar disorder and it is not fun and nothing to be joking about!. Plus it is not nice to tell someone what they are if they aren't in your case!. Just do 2 things!. One, realize that she is only human and that something has caused her to be this way--not your fault ok!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.2) Go to a college next semester !.!.!.get financial aid!.!.seek help for it now so that you can live in a dorm and not worry about your creepy mom!. I don't mean to sound mean but it pisses me off to know she treats you like that!. You have to make a plan to get away and that is the best and easiest way to do it!. Good luck sweetheart!! NO one can diagnose psycolical problems without a exam!.!!!. YOU may just need female vit/ mineral/ iron supplement!. You are very young to have these problems!. GET to a DR for some basic test!. YOUR MOM is not helping you if this has not been considered first!. IF she wont take you ask another relative!. Meanwhile eat good snacks like cheese and crackers, soup, cereal!. BUT see a DR soon!. First of all, you need to relax!.
For your energy levels, I suggest taking such things as iron pills to keep your metabolism up!. Or speak to a doctor about how you seem to have a severe lack of energy lately, though it might just be the weight of the world!.
You need to eat something!. Start out small, crackers, soup, that sort of thing!. Don't eat a lot, just enough to keep you going!. part of the reason you're so exhausted is because you are not eating enough food!. Drink as much water as possible, too!. If you feel like puking, take a break and don't eat as much!. It's important to start small and work your way up!.
Now, you need to talk to your mom calmly about how you feel!. Let her know that you feel she has been taking out her feelings on you, and right now you are stressed enough as it is!. Be kind and calm, but let her know she is hurting you!.
The last thing I want to suggest is, again, to relax!. It may seem like the world is crashing down, but take a half hour or so of "you-time" everyday to sort of unwind and do something you love!. Read, watch TV, exercise, cook, whatever makes you happy!.

Ok, life is stress, its all in how you handle it!. Obviously you know that, but from what you're saying you havent found an appropriate way to deal with it!. How did the running make you feel as excersizing is an extremely effective way to negate the psychological effects of various stress hormones!. I'd say stop turning your runs into constitutionals and just run so hard you cant think!. Are you happy!? Being overwhelmed by school is far from uncommon, you could try asking for extra help in class for a start!. Or even cutting back on how many classes you take, and/or extra curriculars so you can take more time for yourself!. Maybe even to find time to actively date, and hopefully find someone to love, which I promise will make the stress level drop!. If you really think it might be more than just stress then go to a doctor!. You'll make it, youve got a good head on your shoulders and have the sense to ask for help when you need it!. As for your mother, next time she says something along the lines of you need mental help, respond with well maybe we should both go to a doctor, after all we're related!. Also ask her to be more specific, "what kind of mental problems, depression, psychosis, borderline!? Youre really not helping anything with your generalities mom!." Also let her know it hurts when she says things without thinking of how they make you feel, just because she's angry with you doesnt give her the right to belittle you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
