Question: Does xanax make you go to sleep like trazodone does!?
my dr gave me trazodone to help with anxiety and sleep!. Problem is it knocks me out in like 20 minutes!. If my anxiety is bad at 5pm i hate to take it cuz it knocks me out!. Would xanax or one like it not knock me out!. I know benzos sedate you to but i know people that take them during the dayWww@Answer-Health@Com

A !.25 mg would relax you, 2 mg would knock you out!.

If you start out on a small dosage, it will probably not make you go to sleep!. But everyones body reacts differently to drugs, so there's no telling until you try it!.
I would highly suggest NOT going on xanax!. It is extremely physically and mentally addictive!. Your tolerance builds up sooo quickly also!. You just keep needing more and more and it's a ***** to wean off it!. It actually makes your anxiety worsen over time because your brain cannot produce the chemical to relax you on its own since it is so dependent on the xanax!.
I was prescribed it for a little over a year!. I started out at 4mg a day (my doctor was a quack!!!! and I had taken it recreationally before so I guess my tolerance was pretty high), and was eventually taking about 20mg a day!.!.!.!. not only are benzo's like Xanax a sedative, but they are HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!!! i take Vistaril 3 times a day for my anxiety/panic attacks!. ive been on it for almost 2 years!. it doesnt knock me out, it just calms me so i can function!. it may cause a tiny bit of drowsiness when you first start taking Vistaril but that passes after you've been on the med for a few weeks!. please try something other than benzo's!. trust me, i was addicted to benzo's years ago!. it was the worst time of my life!

Xanax will help relax you depending on what dosage you take!. It never helped me sleep, it just helped me calm down!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Try Clonzepam!. Its cool and after taking it a few weeks the side effects taper off!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
