Question: Please answer!! - 10 points for best answer!!?
I'm 16 and i feel so sad all the time, and sometimes i even get so sad and low that i really just think "I want to die"!.

Do i need to see a doctor!?

Sweetheart, the loss of a parent is tremendous!. You will need some counselling!. Don't be afraid to ask for it!.
Go to your doctor and tell him how you feel and he will arrange for you to get the help you need to be able to deal with your sadness!.

Counselling will help you to understand your feelings and move on with your life!.

I lost my mum many years ago and I still miss her very much, so I know how you are feeling!. One day you will be able to remember all the nice and good times and as your life moves on you will have other people and experiences to help you along the way!.

So be brave and go to your doctor, he will be ready and willing to help you!. xxx

I felt sad all the time when I was your age!. I guess in hindsight I have to appreciate what I have!. You had a great relationship with your mom, cherish the moments you had with her!. You have a good family and friends, be greatful!. Sulking is destructive!. Looking forward to something is constructive!. You will still feel sad at some times and that is normal!. Try to stop worrying sometimes and accept things for what they are!. Try to feel better by doing something about it rather than worrying over it!. Worrying and grieving will totally consume your mind while working at something will give you hope!. If something doesn't happen, then at least you did something about it!. You have a better shot at getting something by doing something than doing nothing!. Give yourself a break sometimes too!. Talking and writing in a journal is also therapeutic!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You definitely need to see your doctor, your family don't even need to know you went, your doctor certainly won't tell them!. It is quite normal for you to feel this way after losing a parent and your doctor can give you something to help you over it, whatever medication he gives you, if it doesn't seem to help, then go back and tell him, because there are hundreds of drugs to treat you and your doctor needs to find the right one that will work for you!.
Your family and friends wont think you are crazy, because you aren't, grief is a normal reaction to what you have gone through and different people handle grief differently and some find they can't deal with it alone!.

It's normal for most people, at some point in their lives, to feel so shite they fleetingly think "I want to die"!. However, if this thought and feelings of intense sadness persists or you actually start to make plans to hurt yourself then you need help to sort it out!. FAST!

Do go and see your doctor and ask to be referred to a good counsellor/psychologist so you can talk through how you feel particularly with regard to having lost a parent!.

EDIT: You are not crazy!!! It's incredibly common to experience thoughts and feelings like yours - people just don't admit it much of the time, which is a shame!. However, you don't have to go on feeling like this, there is help available - don't suffer on your own!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Grief therapy is common and helpful for ppl of any age!. Loosing a parent is extremely traumatic and difficult to process in ways that you will probably not fully appreciate until you are much older!. Talk to your dad or the school counselor about spending a little time with a therapist who does grief counseling!. This is not something to feel ashamed about, not at all!. Other than your immediate family, it also is not something you need tell others about if you don't want!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yeah, well - maybe its a good idea to get some help - nothing to be ashamed of!.!.!. I lost my mom to cancer and got very depressed afterwards!.!.!. the doc can issue you with anti-deprssants and its a good idea for you to get out and about and talk to people or just go to the gym or do your hobby!.!.!. you need to get out the house!.!.!. also, realise that we will ALL die at some time!.!.!. you get born and later on you die when its the time for you to go - no sooner and no later!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes you do definitely need to speak to someone, a doctor is the best person to go to!. He'll probably advise you to see a councellor or put you on anti-depressants!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like you really don't want to see a doctor!.
How about your school nurse or another adult at school!?
Try an online blog or a diary!.
Write at night, and let everything out!. Make yourself do this even when you don't feel like it!.
As you empty your head, you'll start to sleep better at night!.
After a few weeks, you can start to look back at what you've written and get better insight into yourself!. You'll be better focused!.
More sleep, better focused on yourself, eating healthy even when you don't feel like it, exercise, will lift your mental status greatly!. Positive affirmations!. Make yourself, absolute force yourself to say or write down at lease ONE positive thing for the day!. Even if you start out with "today I want to live", or "today I'm hug someone"!.!. "today I"m going to respect myself" stuff like that!.!.
Also, there are hotlines all over you can call and talk to live, FREE, counselors!.
I just get the feeling from your post you really don't want to see a dr!. That's OK for now, as long as you take steps to make, and keep, yourself healthy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i lost my mother at first you will feel like your on a road of no return, you may feel guilty for laughing and enjoying your self you want to get away from that terrible feeling of being lost and hurt but you don't know how!. some one once said to me the time you will miss them the most is when your not thinking about them, at the time i didn't know what they meant, but know i do, it's when your thinking of everyday normal things like how many potatoes do i need to peel for dinner then all of a sudden you will see there face in front of you,it kind of shocks you and you often just break down and cry!. but i can tell you you have to go through a grieving which for me took 3 years now 14years later i can still feel the sadness but then the nice memories take over and it feels o!.k again,everyone is different and the grieving is different but it will go,you can go to the doctors and they will help you and put you in contact with people that will help!. i am sorry for you loss and hope you will feel much better soon,please get help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
