Question: In the hospital for cutting!?
I have a problem with cutting!. I cut myself last night & I lost control!.This morning I counted over 60 cuts on my thighs!. I was so numb it did not hurt at all!. My friend Amanda thinks I should go to the hospital!. I have been cutting for 3 years!. I'm only 17 years old!. My parents don't know I cut!. I can't tell them either!. If I go to the hospital can I leave whenever I want!? I live in Florida!. I don't want to be locked up!. Would they tell my parents!? I have friends who will take me to the hospital!. Should I go!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

The best thing to do is for you to go to tell your parents!. Because you're a minor they have the right to tell your parents, and wouldn't you rather tell them yourself!? You'll get the help you need!.

I've been cutting for about three years as well, but I've been trying to quit!. You have to really want to in order to break the addiction and it isn't easy by any means!. I think you'd be better off seeing a therapist than go to a hospital but I have no experience with that part, seeing as I kept it all to myself!.
If you want to avoid it all, just try to ween yourself off of it, trust me, I know it's really hard but it's worth it, life gets so much better!.
There are times when I want to, and sometimes break down and do, but it's not nearly as severe as it was!.

They would probably lock you up, or at least try to get you some counseling!. You should go, because cutting isn't right!. I've cut for 2 years (just finally quit)!. Now I have horrible scars all over my body!. At the time, I thought I would not be affected by any amount of scars!. But now I'm so ashamed to be seen in public!. My family is embarrassed!. Maybe you don't need hospitalization, but you do need therapy!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

are you depressed!? maybe you should talk to a dr!. just tell your parents that you want talk to ur dr!. and then tell ur dr about how your feelings and stuff!. maybe you should be put on some anti depressants!.

i would go to a clinic if you dont want anyone to know cause there isnt too much that a clinic can do (locking you up and such)!. please be careful, my friend almost died from cutting and it was the single scariest thing i have ever been through!. i told her parents, otherwise no one's sure if she would have made it!.!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
