Although I kind of see what she is saying because of the fact that you are often alone, If you truly like having time to yourself and listening to music, I don't see that as anything related to Depression!.
You should only be worried about Depression if you feel that you are isolating yourself for a different reason!. If you feel that leaving your room and music behind and going out into the world gives you anxiety, you might want to look into what your mom is saying!. Also if you often feel numb, indifferent, "blue," apathetic, or of course suicidal!.
If you have a life outside of being at home and listening to music (ex!. school, friends,) and it seems that you do since you exercise, you have nothing to worry about!. Actually, listening to music is proven to be very good for your mood and mental health!. =]Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think so but then I am alot like that myself!. I am very happy to just stay home by myself!. But if I need to do something I do it!. If I have to go pay bills, or go shopping or work or run errands I do it!. but I love to just stay home by myself!. Of course I have realtives telling me I am depressed for doing it!. I wish they would just leave me alone about it!. I think they have a problem because they cannot be still!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
my answer would probably depend on what type of music it is that you are listening to all day!. If it's like classical, that sounds fine!. Do you not have any friends, though!? I mean, aren't you involved in stuff for the summer or anything!? if you answer these questions i can edit this post and get back to you, i think!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
She only worries because she loves you!. Prove you're not a nihilist by doing something nice for her!. Write her a poem about how special she is!. Or you could take her out to a restaurant!.

No worries!. Are you kidding, music is awesome! I don't know a single person who could live without music!. It's just a phase and your mom has no reason to worry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
From the above description I think it is typical adolescent bx!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Depression, maybe!. Why not take your music with you on an ipod and go out and walk or something!?Www@Answer-Health@Com
Eh!. I don't think so, particularly!. Your mom has issues with your behavior, but you don't sound unhappy!. Depression is a complex thing, and one of the symptoms is feeling unhappy, hopeless, etc!. You don't say that at all!. You seem pretty happy with yourself, actually!. I'm guessing your mom just sees you as totally self-involved, unmotivated to any purposeful activity, etc!. She's not wrong, but depending on your age, what else you're doing (school!? work!? helping around the house!?) it may not see quite as one sided as you're presenting it!.
You give no indication of your age <sigh> so it's hard to say if this is normal adolescent introversion!. Adolescents undergo tremendous change, and it's kind of a cocoon/incubation period between childhood and adulthood, so that drawing inward isn't necessarily an unreasonable thing!. It can be beneficial to a some degree!.
Life depends on social networks, so it would be in your best interest to develop some friends and groups for involvement during this time of your life!. And think about being a ltitle more a part of your household by coming out of your room occasionally and sharing some of the other people's interests!. I'm sure there were many time when you were small and wanted your mom's attention that she would rather have been listening to music, or doing something that excluded you!. Time to grow up and start thinking of others!.
That's my thought on the issue!.
