Question: What can I do to keep myself occupied!? Please help!.!.!.!?
Hi there,
I've just finished my GCSE exams, and all my friends are working over the 2 months off for summer!. I'm at home on my own, and the minute the council gets me a place in a youth hostel my mother is sending me there, because she can't cope with me and my two younger brothers!. So I'm out!.

Meanwhile, I'm home on my own!. Mother's at work, brothers at school, friends are all busy!. Can't go out or work as I have a major anxiety disorder!. I'm not due to see my psychiatrist for another 3 weeks!. I have no money due to no job!.!.!.

What can I do to keep myself sane!? Any suggestions of stuff I can do at home with little or no money that don't involve leaving the house which I don't think I can do at the minute!.!.!. I've already resorted to dyeing my hair pink with permanent dye which I'm not too happy about, I don't know what I'm going to do when I go back to school in 2 months!.!.!.

I have an anxiety disorder too!. It can be quite debilitating!. I found that drawing and / or writing was one of the best ways to keep myself busy!.

I would normally find something in my house and draw it!.!. and then figure out how to draw it differently!. For example, I would draw a pencil on a desk and then after I had drawn it, I would use some creativity and maybe draw that same pencil flying through the air with a jet engine on the back!.

Similarly, with writing, I would write short stories and stuff!. It worked pretty well and I wrote some pretty good stuff!.

I'm 23 now and while my anxiety can still be a problem on occasion, it gets easier to cope with over time!. Hang in there, you're not alone!. As soon as you get into college, it will be some of the best years of your life!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well, i used to do projects and tests while i was home alone!. id make a list of what i would be interested in doing such as tearing out the 34th page in every magazine in the house, coloring the inside of my closet, making concoctions for my dog to taste test, watch my neighbours, and what ever id think of at the moment!.

some times just doing random things keeps me occupied for bout 3 hours!.

why dont you read books!? pick the genre you like so you will find it interesting!. or you can donload games and educational software!. try download!.com!. or play online games!. or help kids do their homework right here on YA! or better still, make mom's job easier by doing the cooking and laundry!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you should get out and start doing stuff!. It is the summer after all!. Go for walks, and you could seek out sports clubs or youth clubs to join!.

Don't just stay indoors and be an Internet couch potato like me!. That's just depressing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

library , free courses localy , volunteer work , long walks , jog , you can do it !. small bursts at first !. stop sitting there , dust hoover polish , dishes , your mother won't be looking for a hostel then !.Www@Answer-Health@Com
