Question: Can sumone give me advice on this!?!!? dunno if im DEPRESSED already!?
okay!.!.!. im going through the worst problem in my life! belive me!. to the point that i can't explain things anymore!. i dont know what to do!! help me! it all started in college!.!. im 17 btw!. when i was in hs i was in all girls school (& i have an image of being a tomboy btw, but im not!. im just doing that cuz that's what they want to see) i can really socialize w/ ppl!. but i' not happy!. cuz i feel like im being fake just to get along w/ them!.!. im popular bak then and ppl actually thinks that im happy and stuff!.!. but im not actually!.

when i got into college!. things worsen!. i didnt have many frnds!. i feel like ppl dont like me and stuff!. i feel like i will graduate w/o getting close to anyone!. i just want to go somewhere and start anew!! and now i dunno whats happening!. my thoughts are all jumbled!. i dont know anymore how to fix things!.

(First the god crap!.!.!. if it was too busy to worry about 6 million who were thrown screaming into the fires of the Holocaust, I promise, your puny little worry and my tiny little existence is of no consequence!.!.!. so, get a grip!.)

Secondly, depression has all sorts of presentations, and most teens experience it!.!.!.!. life is scary, we have huge demands, we want to do well, we want to get good grades, and have friends, and present to the world that we have it all together!.!.!. and most of us don't have it all together!.

Most colleges have someone you can talk with about your feelings, and you'll realize that everyone is in yours shoes!.!.!.!. some just cover it up better!.

Some suggestions:

1!.Be sure you are eating well!.!.!. crappy, fatty ,food, cokes, sugars, white bread,etc all bad and in many create mood swings!. (If you need specific diet suggestions, write)

2!.Smile more, even if you don't feel like smiling!. To have friends, you have to be one!!!!! so be friendly!. You didn't say if you were fat, or had ugly teeth or skin, but if any of those is the case, do what you can to correct it!.!.!. one starts with one's self, and if you don't like what you see in the mirror, change!. Just remember nothing got that was in 2 weeks, you can't correct it all in two weeks!. Getting happy and being mentally and physically healthy is a life-long project!.!.!. !.

You should definitly take some time to figure out the important things in life!. Im sorry that youre going through a tough time!.!.you shold try to talk with a therapist, they can get you help, and even get you meeting with a dr who can prescribe you an anti for you depression!.
Sometimes, talking about things is all that someone needs!.

Perhaps you're not making friends because now that you're in college it's time to be the real you!. OR, and probably more likely, you feel like people don't like you because *you* don't like yourself!.

So, #1 figure out who you *are* and not who you think you should be!. Yeah, I know, easier said than done!. If your college has a counseling center, go there, NOW!. Get an appointment and work to find out who you are *now*!.

#2, check the extra-curricular opportunities!. Is there an organization on campus that sounds like something you'd be interested in!? If so, join it!.

#3 If you've declared a major, see what opportunities there are to become involved in something related to that major!. Is there an organization for people in that major!?

#4 Presentation!. How to you present yourself!? Are you sculking off in a corner by yourself!? Are you frowning or looking away!? Most communication is non-verbal!. You don't have to be smiling all the time, but at least look approachable!.

Remember this above all else!. Your experience in college - in life - is what YOU make of it!. You may have some depression, but chances are it's situational!. The counselor can help with that!. It sounds to me that you just really need to start taking some chances, get out there and try!. Don't be afraid to fail because, guess what!? You're going to from time to time!. It's called being a human being!. But failure doesn't me fatality or finality!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

This is time when everything is telling you to get to know yourself and find out who you are, what touches your emotions and interests, what intrigues you, sometimes taking some time alone is the best thing in the world because you do come to know and love every part of yourself!. I choose to be alone alot many dont understand that but its because I enjoy my own company that much and I dont want to be around people I cant relate to!. You should never have to feel the need to change who you are to fit in because its just gonna make you feel out of place and like your not being true to yourself!. I promise if you spend some alone time with you and pray for guidance, the Lord always answers in mysterious ways when you pray for guidance, and I promise you will be happier and find you!. My advice wouold be to start of simple!. Are you into sports if you are try to join a sports team you find people there with lots in comon!. I live in Ireland and we play a game called hurling here its very physical look it up on youtube but back to the point lol when i felt i was getting stressed i joined my local club and believe me it helped me alot i was able to get rid of alot of stress! If your not into sports try somthing like joining a book club or some sort of activity give it a shot believe me it will help and i bet you meet alot of people!Www@Answer-Health@Com
