What about Effexor (or Antidepressants in general) makes you gain weight?!

The vast majority of people do not have to settle for weight gain on SSRI's, like effexor!. Weight gain, for the most part , is caused by a sedentary lifestyle!. Statistics show, if a person on SSRI's exercises regularly, eats healthy and watches their caloric intake, they will not gain weight!. People on SSRI's have a tendency to sleep more, which burns less calories, and also eat more, because foods are used for mood enhancement for the depressed, which increases caloric intake!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I've been on Lexapro and Wellbutrin for the last year and a half, for depression!. In my case, I've been losing weight!. With the depression, I got to where I didn't even want to get out of bed in the morning!. With the medications, I'm feeling a lot better - and feel more like doing things!. I think that's what has helped me lose the weight!.

As has already been said, if you're more active it does make a big difference!.

there's a possibility of that for most antidepressants!. I didnt have a good time when I was on Effexor (it made my sex drive disappear)!. I'm on Welburtin now and find it has minimal side effects!. I highly suggest you look into that Rx!.
