Need info on Xanax?!

Question: Need info on Xanax!?
I have !.25 mg of Xanax to take as needed for anxiety disorder, and the bottle says I should only take them every 8-12 hours, here's my question, usually after about 7 hours they seem to have pretty much worn off, and some days it's seems like they're taking almost a hour for the full effect!. Is that normal or am I already getting a tolerance to them!? I also know people who have prescriptions for Xanax and they can take them every 6 hours!? I only take one or two a day for the past 2 weeks!. Please don't bother lecturing me how bad Xanax is b/c it's all that helps me and I'm gonna keep taking it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
2 weeks is plenty of time for tolerency to build!.!.!. you have started building a tollerency for the medication!. You should have your doctor prescribe you the !.5 mg pills!. !.25 pills are very weak and never helped me!. Either have you doctor prescribe you an extra !.25 pill a day or have him get you some stronger pills!. I get 120 1mg pills every month which means i can take 1 pill every 6 hours!. But yes, for sure you have started building a tolerency already!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

i am a pharmacist, Dear as ur taking xanax its good for anxiety but not as good for long term, u will become more habitual of this and as ur taking twice daily but the time will come u will have to take trice daily, i will suges u shuld drop after 3 weeks, then give atleast 10 days gap then if u think u need it again then start it, it will give u two benifit, it wll treet ur anxiety 2nd u will not becom addicted, wish u healty life take good care of ur self,Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tolerance is happening!.

Not lecturing, but asking, have you tried: Klonopin (long lasting, less addicting), Ativan (less addicting), beta blocker, antidepressant, there are a couple other meds, too!. Basically, Xanax is the most powerful and the most addicting!. If you haven't gone through a number of other alternatives first, go get another doc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think that's alright because you said you are taking only once or twice a day!. It's written that it can be taken every 8 - 12 hours a day so you're not overdose but you still need to see your doctor and tell about your feeling so that correct dosage will be prescribed to youWww@Answer-Health@Com

If I were you I would look into Buspar!. Its non-addictive like xanax and klonapin!. You can take it regularly not just as needed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I LOVE IT!.ITS SO GOOD!.makes you have the best night in the world, the thing is you just cant remember anything!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are as most doctors would say, on "baby doses"!. If your doctor prescribed you Xanax at a dose of !.25mg!. per pill or !.50 - !.75 mg!. per day and you feel a need to up the dosage then perhaps you should consult with him/her as per your needs!. I know of people who are up to enormous doses, and basically eating this stuff like candy!. You are using less than a mg!. per day!. Xanax is generally prescribed far too often as a "bandaid" for a potentially more serious problem that should be addressed with therapy of the mind, and not just nerve suppressant drugs!. Xanax is generally tolerated well by most patients when given properly and advised how, and when to use them!. This drug is not as physically addictive as it is mentally addictive!. It calms you so you begin to rely on it to the point where you won't leave the house without it!. THIS IS WHY IT'S CONSIDERED BAD FOR YOU!. The drug itself isn't causing you near as much harm as YOU may be psychologically allowing it to!. I myself have used it many times for different things!. For example, sometimes I can't get to sleep if my mind is busy, or I'm simply excited for something the next day that I planned on doing!. Xanax is also a very good back pain medicine if you experience muscle spasms, etc!. The key, my friend, is for YOU to control the drug, not allow the drug to control YOU!Www@Answer-Health@Com
