I can't get to sleep....?!


Question: I can't get to sleep!.!.!.!.!?
I can't get to sleep until 2-4am unless my mom or I force myself!. I wake up at 11-3am-pm!. How can I help myself get to sleep better!? I can't take any kind of medicine or go buy anything!. What are some ways to get to sleep easy!? (on my own!.!.not with like food or pills)Www@Answer-Health@Com

When you go to sleep at around 2-4am, no matter how much you feel tired and you dont want to, wake up at 7am!. And then you will feel tired during the day but you'll be so tired you will go to sleep early maybe at about 9-11pm and then you will wake up early!. Or dont go to sleep for the whole day until it's 8 or 9 pm the next day!. That will get you the normal right routine back!.
Another thing you can do is have a shower just before you go to bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I have suffered from insomnia and it can get pretty frustrating!. What helps me is to get up very early, stay busy throughout the day enough to tire myself out by the evening, no cat naps even if I feel the need, I do not have caffeine or high sugar items after 4pm and when I do go to bed I have to have complete silence and darkness!. Once you get your body use to going to bed at a certain time everyday even if your not sleepy you'll notice that you'll fall asleep faster!. You have to quiet the chatter in your mind!. Maybe, playing some mood music that is mellow or getting a nature CD with ocean waves playing in the background!. Also, try getting a book on CD or tape!. I put that on and zonk out with the words of the person talking as I fall to sleep!. Whatever you do you got to quiet your mind before bedtime!. Make sure during the day you are getting enough exercise!. This helps to release energy so you'll sleep better at night!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

well one thing you can try is to not eat anyhting for about 2-3 hours before you sleep and try to sleep at the same time every day so you body gets used to sleeping at a certain time!. another time is to not watch any scary or exciting movies because that will make you imagination go wild when you are trying to sleep!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

-try to eat soy beans or drink soy milk before bed!.
-when you wake up- as soon as you wake up- open your curtains and go to eat breakfast in the sunniest part of the house!.
-when trying to sleep, just try to start at a really high number and count down to one (backwards of course) and take deep breaths in between numbers!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

honestly i have no idea ive tried so many things im 14 and i have your exact same condition!. i cant ever sleep until 4 am my time and im not allowed to take any sleeping pills cuz my mom wont let me!. my shrink tells me its stress but i cant find a way to let myself unwind!.!.!.!.what ive tried is jus comming up with the craziest dream or read a book until my eyes get tired but they never do if you can find a way to get your stress level down that will probably be the golden ticket

Go out in the morning to the zoo or a park and play or be active ALL DAY!. This will tired you out!.

Have a normal lunch and dinner!. some snacks!.

take a nice hot bath with bubbles and candles!.

( make sure your room is clean, it adds to the calmness)

Then Get a radio, CD player or ipod and get in your bed and listen to your music for a good hour to 2 hours!.

Then if you feel tired doose off into sleep!.

I like to leave my windo shades open, it makes it feel more calming and open :]

try making youself stay awake all day!.then get plenty of exercise all day--stay busy!. do not do any exercise after 6 pm in the evening!. take a good long warm soak in the bathtub!. watch a good funny movie!. dont eat anything after 5:30 in the evening!. make sure you eat a good filling dinner!. when you lay down turn on a fan for noise and read a good book with theide lamp on!. this should help you go to sleep!. god luck!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hello my friend,

I have found when I have trouble sleeping, it is because of the soda that I drink!.

I didn't realize how much caffeine soda has in it!.

Now, I stop drinking soda by 3pm!.

Also, sugary and carbohydrate foods in the evening, can have the same effect!.

Take a look at what you are drinking and eating!. You may find your answer there!.

OMG OMG OMG ive had that same sleeping troubles all you do is relax before you lay down hum to yourself then get into bed and sing a happy song either out loud or in your head does not matter!.!.!. it will make you feel all happy inside and make you go to sleepWww@Answer-Health@Com

well i used to have that problem but i heard on the radio that one way to fall asleep is to list 25 things you are thankful for that happened to you today or this week!. i usually start listing and then i get lost in thought and fall asleep!. way better than counting sheep!Www@Answer-Health@Com

sometimes artificial light affects the body's timer, and makes it hard to go to sleep!. stay away from tv at night, and try going and sitting outside until it gets dark, and then go straight to bed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
