Stop taking Welbutrin Cold Turkey?!

i've started and stopped welbutrin twice now, but never cold turkey!. I had a bad experience with Paxil where i forgot one or two doses and had mad drug withdrawals! EW! Welbutrin has less side effects on me than Paxil did!. When I wean myself off Welburtin I just encounter some unexplained anxiety or increased depression, then it goes away!. I imagine it would be increased if I stopped cold turkey!.
I wouldn't recommend stopping cold turkey and i dont think a DR would either!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You should never stop taking a medication cold turkey, it says it on the phamplet that comes with the medication!. Why do you want to stop, I'm taking 450mg a day of Wellbutrin and it seems fine for me, it's the only one that doesn't cause drowsiness!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It is not advised to stop taking anything like that cold turkey - Even when I weaned myself off of one anti depressant I still quite a bit of withdrawal symptoms!.How does it feel if you forget to take it!? It will be a lot worse if you just quit!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It depends on your dosage!. If you are on a low dosage than nothing will happen other than the symptoms you had before taking it MAY return!. However, if you are on a medium to high dose you should be weaned off!. Talk to you Dr!.

What's Welbutrin!? If it's an addictive drug, stopping taking or indulging in it COLD TURKEY probably would send one into a psychiatric or physical frenzy -- or maybe both!Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not as much as stopping another SSRI!. That's one of the ones you don't have to taper!. You may get mood swings, but that's normal going off any anti-depressant!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
