Question: Why do depressed and anxious people withraw from their friends / family!?!!?!!?
i really really need an answer to this! pls!.!. i'm going crazy thinking about my problems!. i realy don't know if i'm depressed or my situation is another issue!? i alyways think and try to solve my problems but even though i was able to think positively when i'm already in front of my friends or other people i just feel awkward and it makes me even awkward when sumone notices my uneasyness!.!. i dont even know what those actions mean! is that depression!? anxiety!?!?

the reason i withdraw from my friends (and family!?) is because lately (since last yr actually and hve gotten worst this year) im not my real self!. a lot of things is bothering me and i dont want to brought my unseasyness anymore when im w/ my friends and another is that i dont dont dont want them to see that sumthins wrong w/ me!. so whatever happens i try to make up a story all the time just to act normal in their eyes!. hehe!.

I've been through depression - and take anti-depressants for it!. I know what you mean about "withdrawing", I've been there!. If I were to guess the reason for it, I think it might be because your mental system is in kind of an "overload" condition trying to figure out what's going on - and as a result the withdrawal occurs!. It's certainly not fun!.!.!. but that's just a guess!.

It's just because they're depressed and their self-esteem is so low and they cannot be bothered with anyone!. Nothing really matters, they just want to be alone!.

It's not that they want attention they just think that they are hopeless and that they have no reason for other people to care about them!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Depression in a general sense is a chemical reaction in the brain when the brain is not producing the right mixture of chemicals to keep the system going at a proper rate!. It puts a very heavy draw on the energy level of the body, and to keep us from passing out from exhaustion the brain compensates by having us feel like we just aren't interested in things and we don't want to be around people!. The body needs all the energy it can get and it puts certain activities at the lower end of the priority scale, like socializing, and activities for fun!. If the Brain can tell you not to do those activities because it needs the energy to try and make more of the chemicals you are lacking for proper function, then it will do so!. Consider it a warning sign that you need to go see a doctor!. If you cannot remember an incedent that might have caused you to feel down then you may have a chemical imbalance that can only be corrected through a doctors care!. It is so worth getting checked out!. If you cannot get answers through a regular physician, you might need to see a specialist that deals with endicronology!. self esteem and self confidence are really low

if you cant feel good about yourself then you cant interact with friends family in a positive manner

part of me thinks that we do this to get attention from them, if we withdraw away from them, then we think that they will figure out that something is wrong with us and we need assistance care and support!.

Depressed and anxious people are more needy for attention and are lacking something they need which is why they are depressedWww@Answer-Health@Com
