How long could it take?!
Question: How long could it take!?
My boyfriend was sent to a psychiatric hospital because he told his doctor he was depressed and had thoughts of suicide!. He isn't a severe case!. He has never hurt himself!. Just very depressed!. I was wondering how long till he can come home!? I know it depends on the individual but how long does it usually take!? Like I said he is not a severe case!. He is 28 years old!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Don't worry to much sweetie, I went though this myself, Me feeling depressed & suicidual!. I went to one of those facilties for depressed ones!. And once the Doctor got me on the meds I needed to be on, I came home!. And it only took ME two weeks!. (Every patient is different)
They just need to figure out what meds and/or treatment will work!. The Docs are good at this, so don't worry !. !. !. he'll be feeling better sooner then you think!.

depends on the doctors diagnosis, they could give him meds to help the depression which can take a month to work, so could be anywhere from 2 weeks, to 3 months, depending how much he wanted to comit suiside, and if he was serious or not, when they feel he is no longer at risk, they will release him,Www@Answer-Health@Com
Most medicine for depression take 3 to 4 weeks to take affect and assuming they'll want observation time, then it'll be at least 3 to 6 months!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
