Question: How to get the most anti-depressents you can get!?
what should I say at the doctor, i feel slightly better right now, but not enough!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
It depends on what you are diagnosed with and what medication you are taking!. If you have solely depression than you should be honest with your Dr!. Tell him exactly what you wrote here, 'I feel better but not completely'!. Most Drs!. will start patients on the lowest level of a medication and then reaccess based on patient's input!. There is nothing wrong in saying you'd like to try a slightly higher dosage!.

However, keep in mind that anti-depressants have to build up in your system over time!. If you just started say, a week ago, give it another week before making a decision!.

Also, if the Dr!. increases your dosage and you don't like it, there's nothing saying you can't decrease back down!.

Hope that helps!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

Tell the doc how you are feeling!.!. You don't want to be overmedicated or you'll feel like a zombi!.!. Any anitdepressant you're on is going to take time to work!.!. And if you go in saying "it's not working, give me more" he's either going to think you're trying to self medicate yourself by getting your dosage uped (which is what it sounds like) and he's not going to take you seriously, or he's going to switch meds!.!.

My advice!.!.be honest and up front with your doctor!.!. If you think you need the dosage uped ask the doctor if that's a possibility!.!. Tell him you feel somewhat better but not a lot!.!.!.
Don't lie to him in order to get more or higher dosage meds!.!.Most likely you'll come off as a self medicator and he'll see through your fibs!.!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, say it's helping, but you're still pretty depressed, so can you try a higher dose!. Most docs are pretty flexible about this, all anti-depressants take adjustments to work!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Say that, and also say that you are not ready to change your dosage right now!. The doctor will not force you to go off your meds!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
