Question: Am I a misanthrope!?
I am a 31 year old single woman!. I must say that loneliness has been always a staple in my life!. The fact is, I enjoy being on my own!. I cant stand groups of people, so called friends, dinner out,gathers!.!.!.!.!.!. today, friday night, I'd rather be here in front of this computer than go out!. I love the way I live!.But I wonder if I am slowly becoming a real misanthrope!. Is it normal that at 31 years I dont feel the need to go out among my peers, or even have a man by my side!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

I think you might want to get out occasionally but there is nothing wrong with being a homebody as long as you have some sort of interaction with people!. You sound independent not misanthrope!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
Being a misanthrope means you HATE people actively, not just don't have much interest in them!. You sound more like an introverted loner by nature!. Some people are just this way!. I am very introverted myself, and while not as isolated as you, have a low threshold for the amount of human interaction I can take!.
If it bothers you, you could always talk to a therapist, or you could just try finding some low-stress way of interacting with others!. Volunteer work is good for that!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Just be sure to have some human stimulation, that way your mind does not deteriorate!. You may want to make some connections now though, so you are not lonely in the future!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
