Are people with OCD gifted?!

absolutely!. all of these "disorders" require a level of brillance that the average "normal person" doesnt posess!. My sister in law works with autistic children and they are some of the most fascinating, intelligent, and manipulative children she has ever met!. She loves it! Their minds just work a million times faster than their bodies!. She has said many times they are way more intelligent than the " normal children" she has taught!. I was diagnosed with ADHD as a child!. My teachers suggested Ritalin!. My Pastor suggested more activities to challenge my mind and creativity!. I became a straight A student, was moved to the academically gifted class, maintained honor for 4 years consecutively, and excelled at my extra curricular activities!. My best friend Katie was also diagnosed with ADHD, her mother put her on Ritalin, and she killed herself a few years later when we were in high school!. She was way smarter than I was, our parents simply took different approaches and you see the outcomes!. My mother has OCD!. She is one of the most organized and efficient people I have ever known!. She leads a very normal life, (except her extreeeeeeeeeeemely organized and clean home) and is a mathematical genious!. She received a full scholarship to college!. Just in the examples I have given these are all brilliant people!. So in answer to the question!.!.!.!.Yes!. smarter than the average person!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Well, I don't know how much of my Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety Disorder, and Depression is genetic or social but I have been tested with above average intelligence and I have found that my ability to THINK and NEED for knowledge has made is so I can't just accept mind numbing activities like stupid books and movies like Pirates of the Caribbean!.

I analyze everything!.!.!. I only watch stupid movies so I can figure out how they did the graphix!.!.!.

It seems like the more I learn about the world, the more I can see how horrible a species we are
