Self sabotaging?!

Question: Self sabotaging!?
Ok!. I have a bit of a nasty habit!. Its called self sabotaging!. I sometimes always go and do what I know won't work out!. For some reason it seems as though I'm always trying to prove someone wrong!. Who that might be!? I don't know!. But whenever someone says do this, I don't "do this" whenever I think to myself "if you do this than this may happen!.!.!." sure enough the bad thing does happen!. Things such as lying, talking about other people when you know you shouldn't, saying things you really don't mean at all!.!.!.

My question to you is this!. Are there any other people who are like this!? And also why do you do this if you do!? I just feel as though there is something holding me back from being a better person and I always seem to ruin chances for me to improve!. So how do I improve!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Answers:
I am a self- sabotager!. Well, I am not as bad as I use to be!. I am in recovery!. I believe that self-sabotaging is just another form of masochism!. It isn't that you get sexual pleasure of course, but you just seem to do things that will cause yourself emotional pain!. I use to do this a lot, a lot a lot!. I don't anymore because I am trying to improve myself as well as recognize that there are good things happening!. I was familiar with bad things happening to me, so maybe I was just keeping myself in the familiar!. I don't know if you are doing that as well, but maybe you are!. Have you lived a life where bad things just seem to happen to you so you decide to keep yourself in that place!? It took me a while to realize that I was sabotaging myself!. The fact that you are realizing what you are doing is an awesome thing! Try to fight it, don't give in to that urge!. I use to get the urge to do stupid stuff like that all the time!. Have you ever been to therapy!? Some therapists really truly don't understand, and I have been to many!. If you find one you really like, one who can read into you, then they can help!. You may just need to search around!. You may not want to do that, I don't know!. But I do know that it has helped me!. Best of luck!Www@Answer-Health@Com
