So I was answering a question for a confused teenager who was contemplating suicide!. I of course was telling him that suicide is not the answer!. After I submitted my answer I went back and read other peoples answer!. One absolute prick said to this kid "I think you should probably just kill yourself to save the lives of other kids!." What the heck is this person's problem!? You don't tell a confused kid to just off them-self!. I am thoroughly upset right now!. No wonder our country is going down the drain!. I've come across the same thing!. Whenever I answer a question like that I really take the time to try and get through to the young person and help them in some way!. And when I see an answer such as the one you described it makes me furious because I sometimes think what if this poor kid is on the edge and some fool like that eggs them on!. All that I can say about that kind of response is that some people on this site are either sick or just plain cruel!. I usually do an edit and blast the sick person who did it because it really upsets me!. The truth is, I don't think people are as kind or compassionate today as they were in the past!. My generation was taught to care about your fellow man and to lend a helping hand whenever it was needed!. Unfortunately, times have changed!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
They're just being incredibly stupid!. I doubt they're even taking that kid's question seriously!. I think so many people have desensitized themselves to such an extent, that nothing affects them anymore!. That's why people can watch an elderly man be hit with a car and let him lay in the street without coming over to help, or watch another elderly man be beaten up and not do a thing (both examples taken from recent news stories, unfortunately) Lots of people only care about themselves!. It's disturbing and sad and frightening that it's come to this!. Thankfully, not everyone is like that!. I just wish there were more compassionate people!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
