I think my brother is bipolar...?!


Question: I think my brother is bipolar!.!.!.!?
actually, i'm pretty sure he is!.!.!.i'm not all that familiar with it but maybe you can clear up my situation!. my brother has always been either really happy or really angry!. i've noticed this about him since he was about 7 or 8!. he would ask to go shopping or something or go pick out a game!. but ANYTHING could trigger him!. he'll get into a HUGE screaming match and just start yelling about things!. he's got a VIOLENT temper!. he likes to throw things around!. if you come to my house, you'll notice some nice holes in the walls!. but within 3-5 minutes, he's all happy again and asking to go shopping for his game!. it's like he doesn't realize what he just did!. i asked him one time too!. i was like, "why are you talking to me!? you were just yelling and throwing things two minutes ago!.!.!." and he was just like, "i don't know!.!.!.i don't know!.!.!." it's pretty scary sometimes because he likes to throw things and he threatens to shoot you or take a knife and kill you!.!.!.seriously, bipolar!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Bipolar doesn't usually 'appear' until mid teens!. I think your brother is likely to have behavioural problems that have been learned!. He would benefit from counselling!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It may or may not be! Check the symptoms on Bipolar!.com!. Are your parents worried about his behavior!? How is he in school!? Does he have severe depression and mania!? There are so many symptoms to bipolar and he would have to meet a certain amount of the criteria to be diagnosed as bipolar!. Check out the website though!. Hope this helps!Www@Answer-Health@Com

you need to have your parents involved in this!. i am very surprised that something has not been done about it!. i am not sure what your home life is or your parental situation is!.

your brother needs to be seen by a doctor!. the first step is your family doctor!. they then will refer your parents to the correct councilors!.
