How can i convince someone to see a therapist?!

Question: How can i convince someone to see a therapist!?
this person is clearly depressed and really dysfunctional!. she has meds but she only takes them when she feels like!. she cries randomly over nothing!. there's a million other things!.

she needs to speak to a professional on a regular basis!. but she is paranoid and also acts offended at the idea that she would need to see a therapist and raged at me when i suggested it before!. she is very spiteful!.

her stupid GP gives her meds but she has never been diagnosed by an actual psychiatrist so no one really knows what is wrong with her!. and her GP doesn't encourage her to see a therapist either!.

many of the crazy things she doe are just in order to get her own way!. but she is in her own world, pretty much!.
this has been going on way too long!. i care but i am so tired of this!. i refuse to cuttle her dumb mood swings and i can't talk to her anymore she just wants to dump on anyone who gives her a chance!. i would like to see something actually happen!.

please suggest!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I'm actually going through this with my husband and have been for years as well!. He's bipolar and refuses to see a doctor!. So we made an agreement, when he's having a down, I'll do what I can to keep the kids quiet (we have 4) and let him have his emotional crap time alone, or go to a friends if he needs!. But I was very straight forward and just told him I loved him too much to see him like that, and I don't deserve to be his dumping ground!. Alot of people with emotional disorders are paranoid and will refuse to seek attention, there are support groups for families and friends for more "professional advice" try http://www!.bpso!.org/showinfo!.php!?topic=s!.!.!.
I know it's mostly for friends and family of BP, but it's a starting point!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Have you tried explaining that you are onyl doing it because you are concerned, and have it start little!. Tell her just to try it this once so that she knows for sure if it will help or not!. Hopefully if she needs it that she will keep on going, and you should probily mention to the therapist that she is not taking her medication so that she can be encouraged to be regular!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you can't make her do anything!. i am not sure how old you guys are!. if over 18 there is nothing you can do!. if she is under 18 talk to her parents !. tell them of your concerns!.

you are in a difficult position!. i wish you the best of luckWww@Answer-Health@Com
