Um....nothing?!


Question: Um!.!.!.!.nothing!?
Hi!. I'm 15 years old, and I feel nothing!. I never feel like hanging out with my friends, or eating, or doing anything!. My parents get mad at me, because I stay in bed pretty much all day!. I think I might have depression, one of the worse reasons!.!.is that I get a lot of suicidal thoughts!. Like, I'll be at a friends house, and we'll be walking by a large window, and immediately, I think of how it would feel if I jumped out of her window headfirst!. I don't understand why I get these feelings, but sometimes I feel as if, I don't know, as if no one could care less if I died, or if I lived!. And honestly!? Living seems like a lot of hard work, if at the end, your just going to die anyways!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hi, When I was 12 and I had suffered from severe depression for two years!. I got suicidal thoughts like you did!.

Quite a few teenagers get depression, but 90% of teenage depression episodes are under 9 months long!. This may just go away in a few months!.

I really suggest talking to a doctor about this, it does seem to be interfering with your life a lot and is quite a problem!.

But for now, here are a few tips that may help you:
Excersise - This increases the amount of endorphins in the brain giving a sort of high!.
Eat well - Get a good balanced diet, with vitamins
Herbs - There is quite a good anti-depression herb called st!. johns wort!. It works for many people and you can buy it at health stores soit's easy to get!.
Stay Positive - I really think that the world is only what you see it to be!. If you think a cup is half empty, it will be like that for everything in life!.
Colours/Music - Listening to happy music and looking at bright happy photos may help!. Don't listen to sad music, it will only make you feel worse!.

Maybe you're friends aren't that great, because I'm 15 too and I always want to stay alive for my friends and family etc!.!. Do you have any hobbies, things that keep you motivated!. I'm really sure that when you think able it, lots of people would care if you died, and suicide is one of the worst things ever because of the pain its leaves to those who love you!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It definately sounds like depression!. You need to talk to your parents and tell them what you're feeling, why you're staying in bed all the time!. You need to see a psychiatrist and try some antidepressants!. I used to get feelings like you're having!. The most common one for me was I would be at the top of the stairs and just want to fall down them!. After going on antidepressants those feelings started to go away!. It does take time, but they do help!. Please seek help, and realize it does get better!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are young and have along life ahead of you!. You sound definitely depressed!. Get help ASAP!. Ofcourse your family and friends would be devastated if you killed yourself!. Sometimes life can really suck and other times it is amazing!. You can't see this because you are depressed!. You have alot to look forward to!. I think if you get help from a family doc or go to school counselor your eyes will be opened and you will be happy!. There is help out there don't be scard to get it!. Well, what's happening here is you're 15 and you have difficulty getting attention, so you pull off this i'm depressed **** so that people around you will force compliments down your throat!. Yeah it sounds to me like you have depression you should really talk to a councilor cuz life is hard but you have to get over it if you commit suicide then think about how sad everyone would be your parents would never be the same and blame it on themselves!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's probably depression!. or Maybe you have a Bi-Polar disorder!. I say check with a doctor and see if you need a psychologist or medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Hey, try hanging out with friends more, or get involved with sports, or clubs!. The window thing!.!.!.everyone wants to know if they would survive something, its natural to want to jump out just to see if you would die :P

talk to you friends or your family about how you feel!. it is good if they knew how you feel or the reason for why the say you act!. maybe they can get you help with a doctor for maybe anti-depression medication!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You are way too young to feel this way!. I have a very close friend who gets very depressed and she won't seek help!. Trust me when I say this, please go talk to one of your parents and ask them for help!. You have your whole life in front of you!. Yes life can be hard, but it doesn't have to be that hard!. The sooner you get help, the sooner you can get through this and the sooner you can start enjoying life!. Life is a wonderful, beautiful thing!. What you are feeling isn't your fault and you shouldn't be ashamed of feeling the way that you do!. But once you get help you will start to see the positive instead of the negative!.
