Answers:
Sweetie, let me start by saying KUDOS!!! You are taking the first step to taking care of yourself!. The first step is always the hardest!. I'm so glad that you are taking charge of your life and doing what you gotta do for you!. Getting assessed is never easy!. Choosing to get assess demonstrates that you are self aware!. You recognize that there might be something that you need to address and you're going to get it checked out!. So many people miss out on their quality of life because they never took the first step and did what you are going to do!. Yes, Sweetie, you should tell them that you have an ED and if they ask to see you cuts, you should not hesitate to show them!. The whole point of you going to this assessment is to seek wellness!. True wellness can only come if your entire history is presented!. I've had my own bout with depression and I can assure you that EVERYTHING is connected!. The more they know, the better they can do what is best for you!. Don't surprise them with new information later!. Lay it all out on the table!. If there any medication involved, then with holding information could lead to mistreatment!. I think it's very brave to go through with this without involving your parents, but as a former minor who didn't involve her parents in her pursuit of psychological wellness, I want you to be aware of the following: medical facilities will respect your want for privacy!. They will not seek out your parents and inform them of your assessment or its results!. However, should your parents ask, the facility is required to answer any and all questions without with holding any information!. Treatment usually requires authorization from a parent or legal gaurdian!. I know that if you had wanted your parents to know anything at all, you would have informed them already!. I know you don't want your parents to know and I know that you don't like the fact that if your parents ask then they will get all that information that you want kept private, but I don't want you to not say what needs to be said and I don't want you to not do what needs to be done!. As far as getting there goes!.!.!. I don't know what to tell you, Sweetie!. During school hours means that your school will know that you weren't there and that eventually your parents will too!. They will ask why you weren't where you were supposed to be!. The only thing that I can think of is to ask your school counselor what he or she thinks!. If there is a way that he or she can intervene or act as a mediator between you and your parents that would be wonderful!. You don't want to be in trouble for taking care of yourself!. Ditching school to seek out anxiety and depression assessment is back tracking, especially if you don't want to get your parents involved!. Ditching school is one of the first signs of a troubled youth!. No troubled youth ever ditched for legal medical reasons that his or her parents were not aware of!. The last thing you need from your parents is the "you're a troubled youth" speech!. Talk to your school counselor!. You are definately doing the right thing!. Taking care of your concerns now will only make you THAT much more successful as an adult!. You won't have to deal with anything then!. Your anxiety, depression, ED, and anything else will have already been resolved so that you can be a contributing member of society!. Talk to your school counselor, Sweetheart!. You need to get someone involved who can advocate your cause and see to it that you don't have compromise one aspect of your life so that you can make improvements on another!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Yes, you should definitely tell them about your ED and show them your cuts!. They're professionals so they'll know how to handle it!. They can only help you if they know what your problems are!.

As for getting there, you could ask a friend for a ride or even a school counselor!. They should be able to arrange to get you there if they arranged for the assessment!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

best thing to do, is be honest and tell them and show them everything they need to know to ensure proper care for you!.
depending on your age, a parent must be there, well that's what happened to me!.
find someone you trust that's older maybe!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

Ask for a ride from a friend or another family member!. And yes, you should definetly show them your cuts!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
