Most of the time, self-injurers do everything in their power to keep their SI-ing secret!. However, some people do injure such that they cannot hide it, or they simply do not wish to hide it!. In that way, they may be construed as attention seeking!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I feel it is depression!. My best friend did this for years and she was always depressed!. She doesn't do it now, but she tried suicide several times!. The person needs to see a doctor and get help immediately!. Also, Angelina Jolie said she did this to herself when she was younger!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
I think you kind of already answered the question!.!.!.!. it sort of depends on the person!. I know that some people show off their scars because their friends cut (I know that sounds stupid, but I've seen people do it!.!.!.!. ugh), and yet, my friend didn't tell me she cut until long after the scars healed!.!.!.!. usually not!. they tend to hide it and start wearing long sleeves, but when it starts getting warmer you'll be able to tell!.

Generally a person who cuts themselves will try to keep it well hidden!. The only time they will allow them to be seen is when they acknowledge that they need help!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
