How do I over come my fear of people breaking into my house late at night?!
Question: How do I over come my fear of people breaking into my house late at night!?
I always go around the house at night and make sure our 3 door that lead outside of our house r locked!. I then start hearing noises and get up out of bed and tiptoe throughout my house to make sure no one is in our house or breaking in!. I stay up till like 3 am awake and then fall asleep!. Im 13 and its summer so i dont have school, but I dont want to stay up till 3 am every night, because this has been going on for a week and im losing sleep!. I have a mom, a dad, 2 older brothers, and a dog!. My one older brother stays up till 1:30-2 am on his laptop in our living room!. And our dog looks out the window (she's kinda like a watch dog) What should I do!? Is there anyway of getting to sleep without worrying!? Because 2 nights ago, I started to have breathing problems at 3 am, caz i was scared!. can you plz give me ideas of what to do that will calm me down!?Please help! Thanks!Www@Answer-Health@Com

How horrible it must be to be so afraid!. I really feel for you but I want to assure you that you don't have to be so scared!.
It is good to be wise and make sure that your house is locked!. You said your dog is a watch dog!. If she hears something unusual I am sure she will let you know!. And you said your brother is awake until late every night!. There are three precautions that will help to protect you!. Also, there are all kinds of noises that go on every day and night!. The difference is, that during the day there are more noises and we don't notice the little creeks and wind sounds as much!. At night we tend to be able hear the noises that have been happening all day!.
I don't know if you believe in Jesus or not but I do!. When I have been afraid in the past I have prayed to God to keep me safe and He always has!. I have learned to put my trust in God, because I believe that Jesus, God's son came to redeem all of us!.
That doesn't mean that bad things can't happen!. But it does mean that when they do He will protect me from worse things!. God doesn't always deliever us out of situations but he does help us go through them!.
Another wonderful benefit of being a christian is that God gives His angels instruction to watch over us!.

It seems to me like you have a full house!.!.!.2 older brothers, a dog, a mom and dad!.!.!.!.There really inst anything to worry about!.!.!.If this is truly something that you feel you can't fix through your own willpower then I would suggest seeing a therapist or some kind of psychoanalyst to try and rid you of your phobia of unsafe houses!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
