Why is it that when I stand up quickly I black out for a few seconds?!

I get that too, and I experiance pain in my head, if you get worried, stressed etc, and you stand up too fast then its normal, sounds like you get a little faint, if so lie down and rest you feet at a higher position than the rest of your body, that will help blood flow get too your head!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

It's called orthostatic hypotension!. When you stand up, gravity causes blood to pool in your legs!. This decreases blood pressure because there's less blood circulating back to your heart to pump!. And with lower blood pressure you get dizzy/can't see!.

Ask your doctor about this though - there are certain medical conditions (like anemia) that could be the cause!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

postural hypotension!.!.!.!.make sure you are well hydrated and have been eating enough!. put your head between your knees if it gets too bad!. it could be a side effect of a medication but if it keeps up, consult your doc!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

your blood pressure appears to be dropping!.!.!.!.do you take medication that causes postral hypotension (blood pressure drops)!. Get up slowly and get to GP to check this!.!.!.!.if not anxiety sounds another cause!Www@Answer-Health@Com
