I was almost raped yesterday by two men I thought were my friends!. They ripped off my cloths, was pulling at my hair never released and kept on teasing and making bawdy comments to me like what they were doing was ok!. They were so close I was screaming!. But a cop that lived next to me saw what was happened and came to my assistence!. I felt so embarrassed, I didn't want to show my face!. I feel so quilty and feel that it was all my fault that's what my brother keeps telling me!.

1) The two people who did this to you are NOT friends! Never have anything to do with either of them again!
2) I'm surprised the cop that rescued you, didn't have you file a report on these losers! I think you should call the police, file a report on the attempted rape, and press charges against them!.
3) Please don't feel embarrassed or guilty about what happened!. IT WAS NOT YOUR FAULT!!!!!!! Please believe me, this was NOT your fault in any way! Just do a google search of "rape support group + NYC" and you will find many places to choose from and call for support!. Please do this, so you'll know it's not your fault and you are not alone!. It will really help you to talk to someone who understands what you've been through!.
4) I suspect your brother knew the people who did this to you, and that's why he's trying to protect them, but I say SHAME ON HIM for not supporting you!

Firstly you can tell your brother from me that he is a total fkn prik!.If he can't support his own sister through an extremely traumatic time then he should be locked up together with the scum that abused you in such a heartless way!.
Secondly you have done nothing wrong and there is no need for you hide away or feel any sense of guilt or shame!.
