Is this normal or should i try to get help?!

Question: Is this normal or should i try to get help!?
i am 14!.!.!. and i have been having some very violent thoughts!.
i dont think that they are from a movie or anything that i watched, because i have had them ever since i was little [just not this severe] they are not like sick fantasies i have or anything!.!.!. i dont really know how to explain them!.

its just that often have these little!.!.!. sort of like day dreams, when something bad is happening to me, usually only when i am alone!. for instance the other day i was upstairs about to go to bed and i had that thought that there was a guy hiding behind the wall and when i turned around he hit me in the back of the head with a pick axe!. like i said i have had these day dreams ever since i was little!. recently they have gotten alot worse!. like when i am home alone i will hear a noise and get so freaked out that i have to stay sitting on the couch where i can see all the doors with my dog right by me!.

is something seriously wrong with me or is it all jus in my head!? i havent told anyoneWww@Answer-Health@Com

Well first of all, if an axe murderer had tried to sneak into your house, your dog would probably have barked, right!? They have excellent hearing!. Secondly, it sounds to me like you have a strong and vivid imagination, not like you're super psycho!. I used to get terrified when I heard a noise and I was home alone, yet if my sister was home, even if she was asleep in her bed, it didn't bother me!. I've also had times when I thought someone might be waiting to kill me!.

First thing you can do when this kinda stuff happens is write a poem or story or draw something!. Anything that puts your imagination to work picturing something that isn't an axe murderer lurking around the corner is a good thing!.

Second thing you can do is listen to music!. It distracts you, making your mind think less and pay more attention to the guitars and drums than the leaves hitting the windows outside!. Over the computer speakers is better than with headphones, because if you have headphones on you might feel unprotected because you're blocking out most other sound!.

Third, do some self-talk!. I always told myself: There's no reason for someone to come here and kill me, my dog would have heard anyone outside and wouldn't be curled up on the couch all relaxed right now, and the doors and windows are all locked anyway!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

you should get help it is a sign of depression and lots and lots of people have this as well!. with medication and constant prayers to God with your heart closing with praises and thanksgiving!. Pray anytime and anywhere, you don't need to go anywhere or have any formal prayer, it is really only between you and Him!. After all when we meet with Him it will be by ourselves and ourselves only!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Maybe you are just a little anxious in certain situations, and this is making you jumpy when something (i!.e!. noise)happens!. I don't think there is anything wrong with you to be honest!. When you hear a noise, think about what it could have been, and rationalize it out!. Same thing with your bed!. Think "is it really possible there is a axe murder behind my bed right now!?"Www@Answer-Health@Com

i have been through that before
best thing to do is to tell a parent not that you here things but see things and there not happening in life but they feel real!.im scared its gunna get so bad im not gunna be able to tell for life and fiction and im worried im gunna do something im gunna regretWww@Answer-Health@Com

Tell someone you trust!. Not always a parent!. It may just be an overactive imagination, but try to check!. Be safe, please!. If you have ANY suicidal thoughts, tell a parent RIGHT AWAY!. Read my question for similar things!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

on a serious side!.

maybe the house is haunted!. Go to the library and research the land your residence is on who knows it could be haunted!.
You may be gifted! Like in the movie Six Sense!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I don't think it sounds like there's something "seriously wrong" with you, but you don't have to have some huge medical disorder to seek help!. It sounds to me like you've got a lot of anxieties and uncertainties!. I have sort of a similar thing--when I'm anxious or stressed about things in my life, I scare really, really easily, even about unreasonable things!.

The bottom line is, if this really bothers you, you shouldn't hesitate to talk to a parent, counselor, or therapist about it!. Hopefully they can help you get to the bottom of what is creating these anxieties so you can be more comfortable!. :)Www@Answer-Health@Com

It sounds like you have some kind of anxiety disorder I have one too and no that does not mean you are crazy or anything!.The thoughts of an anxious person are terrifying and the physical effect of feeling scared and really believing that these thoughts can happen can be very overwhelming!.TRUST me I know!.I would really tell your parents so you can go to the doctor and get put on some medicine and also see a counselor to help you get better!.Please don't be to proud to ask for help It is in your best interest!.If you ever need to chat about ANYTHING please email me at trulyblaze24@yahoo!.com and I will write you back that same day!.!.!.GOOD LUCK and stay strong and just remember that the thoughts are just that!.!.!.Thoughts!.And they cant make you say or do anything that you don't want toWww@Answer-Health@Com

i used to have the same thing when i was younger!. i am only a year older than you are now but luckily for me i mellowed out!. you aren't psychotic!. i promise!. just talk to your doctor!. i don't know what it is that's causing this or anything that can stop it!. thus i say consult your doctor!.

and if you are really that against telling people i can talk to my therapist for you and see what he says you should do!. i know i don't know you but i would like to help since i had the same problem!. and my therapist will give you, well me a straight answer and i can relay it to you!. if you want me to, just give me the go ahead!. holbrook_v@yahoo!.com!.

no need for phones!. this can be done via e-mail

it will all work out and i'm sure there is something that can be done to help you!.

let me know!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

I know what you're talking about!. I was the same way at your age and I'm 27 now, I turned out fine!. I think you're just a little anxious about being alone!. It could be like a small panic attack!. Just tell your parents about it and if it gets worse, let them know!. (not the violent thoughts cause that would needlessly freak them out, just tell them that you get a little anxious and/or paranoid sometimes when your alone at home)

I used to get my dog to sit next to me and then I'd try to distract myself with tv!. Sometimes it would get real bad and I'd go sit outside with my dog and wait for my parents to get home!. There was something about being outside of the house that was just better for some reason!. Just know you aren't the only one that has experienced this sort of thing!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

just talk to your doctor about it!. i have depression and i take medication for it!. i was worried that it quit working or something once because i started having suicidal thoughts!. i knew that suicide was not rational and i knew how it would hurt my friends and fam but i would come to it as a conclusion and then i got scared and that made me more sad!. she just changed my medication and it was fine, no big deal!. the fact that you know these are not rational thoughts is a good sign!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
