How can you overcome having complete 'mind blanks' when you're nervo!

Question: How can you overcome having complete 'mind blanks' when you're nervous!?
Whenever I am nervous or put on the spot (like someone asks me a question and a whole group of people are listening for my answer) I totally panic and blank out - I can't think of how to respond!. A lot of the time I end up saying something like "I'm not sure"!. It makes me feel really stupid and inarticulate!. I know I'm not stupid, but I know I come across that way because of this problem!. (I'm the opposite when it comes to writing down my thoughts - it all comes out easy then)!. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions!?Www@Answer-Health@Com

That happens to me too, but it took some practice before I kinda got over it!. What you do, before jumping to answer take a moment and breathe!. Then say something like :That's a good question" which gives you some time to think about the answer!. Also you probably go blank because you are not sure of yourself, well what I do is fake confidence!. Just don't give up immediately and think you don't have the answer!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

You will likely get suggestions like picture the people you are talking to naked or with funny hats on!.
Many performers in the arts use a drug called Inderal!. It is a beta blocker normally used for blood pressure problems!.
It slows your bodies fear reaction but does not dull you!. You can't use it for everyday stuff, just learn to relax, like breathing meditation (look on the web for instructions it is simple) for everyday stuff!.
Use the inderal for special presentations or performances!.
It is not over the counter but if you tell most doctors that you have performance anxiety they will prescribe it!.Www@Answer-Health@Com

Not everyone is good when they are "put on the spot" so to speak!. Just say "let me give that some thought and I'll get back to you" and then you can write it out and avoid the going blank issue!.Www@Answer-Health@Com
